What say you?

Obviously Parsons is more versatile. If they are even as pass rushers I’d say that makes Parsons better. He’s leading the league in TFL’s.
Way to early to tell and he is not a dedicated pass rusher.. Lol. Dude is a LB.. I would actually beef him up and draft another LB or look for one. Beef him up and make him a DE that can still play MLB.. Will make a great either one..

YES! and he makes plays in big moments more than Ware.
Sure did not matter in our last three loses did it?

Yours is the typical ignorant so called cowboy fan that knows less about football then your rear end.

Ware had a good first step, but Parsons is by far the better athlete. Lawrence and Ware are a closer comparison. Parsons has the potential to be one of the all time greats as a LB/DE.

In Dwares rookie season. Yeah.
It's to soon to even judge past his rookie season.

When he’s not playing linebacker he is better than Ware as a rookie.

The fact that he’s a LB makes him have more responsibilities and hence more versatile than Ware.

No but he is great They need to rub him down with butter so he will be harder to hold and tackle

Yes! I loved Ware’s sacks. I loved the notoriety he brought us, but ……
  • He was about speed and quickness; I'm sure he holds the Cowboys record for offsides penalties
  • I hated watching him sprint 5 yards behind and past the QB when blocked a little….allowed QBs to break the pocket to his side frequently, wasn’t there for screens, and almost never in the passing lane to bat passes
  • He was not strong vs the run because of those wide sprints
To me, Parsons is much more of an all around baller. He doesn’t just want sacks. He wants tackles, interceptions, to stone RBs. He want to dominate every play, and he has the strength and speed to do it.

Yep. He is a smart player. Line him up as a DE and he can play LB. Or keep him as LB and rotate him as DE.

While it's hard to argue rookie seasons, there is something I saw this past game with Parsons that I don't ever recall seeing from Ware:
  1. Manhandled 1-on-1 by a TE on a running play
  2. Ending flat on his back during a block (Seen Ware on his face, but don't recall on his back)
But like Ware, Parsons can make play after play after play and still be on a D that gives up 500+ yards and 30+ points. It sucks that Ware had to deal with that a lot in his career, but now we are seeing Parsons deal with it too.

Irregardless, I will root for Parsons and HOPES he is better than Ware because that means Parsons had a HOF career. It just will be interesting to see how many fans turn on Parsons if he never wins a SB in Dallas either.

HOPEFULLY people will appreciate the Greatness that Parsons looks like he will accomplish and not crap on him if the T-E-A-M never wins it.

Pressures can still result in completions and TD’s, with TFL’s the play is over.
Ware only had 3 seasons in Dallas when he didn't get Double Digit TFLs and had 3 where he had 20+.

And no, this isn't counting sacks as TFLs since in 2009 he had 11.0 sacks and "only" 9 TFLs.

Ware's run defense was vastly underrated the majority of his career.

Just sayin'

When Parsons has a 20 sack season, we can start the convo.

Better rookie year though...

It’s unfair to Ware to say he is. Considering Ware is a hall of famer.

Parsons has the potential to be just as good if not better. The sky is literally the limit.

With the obvious caveat of longevity, I think Parsons compares really well to Ware. Both are turbo-fast speed rushers with a burst few tackles can cope with.
