The Division was always going to be Competitive!!

You fooled yourself into thinking Cowboys had an insurmountable lead at 6-1 in a 18 game season

Are you that stupid?

Interesting that you resort to name calling in a thread wherein you state that the NFL has an 18-game season when in reality it is a 17-game season.....need a towel to wipe that egg off your face?

As for the referenced insurmountable division lead, Dallas was 6-1 while the Giants were 2-5, the Eagles were 2-5, and WFT was 2-5........so Dallas had a 4 game lead after 7 weeks with 10 games to go wherein Dallas could reasonably have gone 6-4 in those 10 games and had no issues with a division win.

However, as it stands today Dallas is 7-4, the Eagles are 5-6, WFT is 4-6, and the Giants are 3-7......so my point that Dallas had a commanding lead up until 4 games ago is a valid one but you keep resorting to the name calling to prove your position while I will stick with facts.

The point is where is Dak in games like the Raiders wherein for the first 3 quarters he sucks....only to show life in the 4th quarter when the Cowboys are damn near out of a game? The fact Dak doesn't play well for the first 3 quarters places Dallas in a bad position.....that isn't an agenda it's just pointing out the obvious.

You're not wrong. His play earlier in the game hurt us. I was critical of him as well. By the time we hit OT though I had to give credit. He brought us back and had it not been for the no call on Parsons being held and a PI who knows. I thought we were gonna win after the coin toss. Of course being buried near our own goal line didn't help.

Overall it was not one of Daks better games, but I can't put the loss on him either. It was a team loss and all 3 units contributed.

You have to be good enough to overcome poor officiating and injuries, and we weren't.

No agenda...just know that every play is important...a missed play on the first quarter can easily be the reason for a loss....obviously you aren't savvy enough to understand that. You're just looking at the last play and not the big picture....most fans do that....nothing wrong with it....football is like playing chess, every move counts....that's what I love about it. I appreciate the whole picture, the blocks, the route running, carrying out your fakes, playing half a man behind etc....salud.

I'm not just looking for the last play. I did admit the game is a series of events.

Look....I apologize for what looks to me like an insult....it was very late. I got carried away and my comment was unnecessary.

It would appear we will have to disagree that all plays carry the same weight.

Nothing, nothing at all..isn't that the point of my statement
Actually…factually

2 passes to Zeke on 1st and 2nd down for 6 yards. Then Dakota’s bad pass to Noah Brown on 3rd and 4

So in Dak Hater wisdom…Dak is not worth contract and not a Franchise QB. This is rational thinking?

What did the 2 road wins against winning teams tell you? Patriots and Chargers?

I didn’t prop up anyone as evidenced by my post. Only fans with zero football iq or an agenda could watch yesterday’s game and blame our qb for that defensive debacle.

Why not just say everyone had part of the blame, including Dak. We've been told he was Clutch by his fanboys but these last two games he has been anything but. His fans always claim people are not cowboys fans because they critique Dak but then they are quick to shift the blame elsewhere to like the Defense, Offensive Line, Coaching, Running Backs, etc. So you supposed to be a bad cowboys fan for saying Dak had a poor game but it is okay to say someone else had a bad game or is overpaid. Is that not Hypocrisy?

I hope you are willing to admit this lack of critical thinking is coming from both sides of the debate. Dak was awful the 1st 3 quarters and contributed to the defense getting gassed and wore out. He didn't show up until the 4th quarter, and that is the only time his homers want to look consider. Is that not a lack of critical thinking from the homer side?
Fair point…does that mean Dak is not worthy of contract?

What does Chargers and Patriots wins on road mean?

Troy Aikman Formula. GREAT Post Sir.

Now show me a HOF RB that can CARRY Dak the way Emmitt "Carried" Troy?

If Zeke is your answer or Pollard, then your issues is with Kellen Moore and not Dak whom has shown the ability to.drive the bus if the running game is working.

You said Dak Haters are no longer Cowboys Fans, by that logic, Troy Aikman Haters are no longer Cowboy Fans.

He is PAID to win those type of games if he can't win them then why is he paid like he should?...he had the ball 1st in OT with the game on the line and went 3 and out..doesn't matter how the game played out until that point, he had the ball and a chance to win it and did nothing with it...2 road wins against winning teams tells me nothing when i compare them to that horrible showing against KC on the road (which you convenently left out) and i won't even mention the Denver game

No problem, I get what your saying...we tend to only remember certain plays. We all do it.

Yes, but while Dallas is 1-3 their last 4 games the Eagles are 3-1 and in what should have been an insurmountable division lead by Dallas after starting 6-1 they have allowed the division to be more competitive.
And why should it have been etched in stone it was an insurmountable lead? Sounds like even our most hardened critics bought into the early hype around our 6-1 start which some of us warned to pump the brakes on.

Situation has changed dramatically since then due mostly to our injuries and the meat of our schedule.

Only those caught up in the hype didn’t see the possibility of us falling back more into the divisional race. Nothing has changed from our pre season predictions that we wouldn’t have been favored to win any other division . And we’re still in good position to do barring another season ending injury to our starting QB.

Since you like spinning facts to support your agenda perhaps you’ll like this. In the 14 seasons the Cowboys have begun the season 6-1 they have never missed the playoffs with 10 division titles and 4 WC’s.

That is a rationale and salient point.

But when you have posters stating Dak is not accurate or can't hit receivers in stride...we question your intelligence

Dak is Top 10 in every QB stat yet the Eye Test HATERS claim inconsistencies.

How do you measure consistency?
Why would you question my intelligence? We have all seen him be inaccurate and not hit receivers in stride. Saying that happens doesn't mean it happens all the time, it just means it happens. As for defining consistency, when it stops drive and loses games then he is not consistent.

coming up on 26 years without an appearance in a conference championship game says the franchise is not championship caliber.

So I guess the bar has been lowered by Dak and others to only having winning seasons and maybe a playoff appearance.

Pretty sad.

Up to 1995 the Cowboys had been in how many championship games in 35 years?

VERSUS ZERO since then.

My standard for an acceptable season was making it to the Championship Game. So the Cowboys in my eyes have been failures for 25 straight years but I am still here. SO mr Dak 'the mouth' Presscot take your bandwagon comment and stick it.

Dallas fans (some) are the whiniest conditional fans in the NFL.

Not only that but really ignorant . Most of them (and most on this board) are fair weather football fans, period. The only football these “experts” watch is the weekly Cowboy game. So their “expertise” comes from 1game a week and maybe an occasional highlight show Sunday night.

Cowboys fans are definitely not bandwagon fans. If they haven’t jumped off already, they are diehard fans glutton for punishment, even if they are disgruntled.
every team has bandwagon fans....every team has fans that will ride the highs and lows...
