If the WFT wins out, they take the East

If Dallas can't close out the division then the team has no business in the playoffs and this would be the worst year ever based on how badly the team fell off a cliff with all of the talent. I have every expectation that Dallas will rebound now that key players are returning and that the last 3 losses are more an anomaly than the norm.

Hell, I was focused on the conference, not the division.

WFT was supposed to have this drop dead defense and they were ranked last in some categories 4 weeks ago.

As the Coach knows, if we were 3-4 a month ago and 7-4 today our concerns would be naught.

they're as likely to lose all of those games as they are to win them all.

This is still the team that has been worse off than the Cowboys have for the past 2.5 decades and doesn’t have near the talent Dallas has?

Vegas loves people that bet with their hearts

Vegas also likes people who don't use their brain, eyes and actual statistics to make bets. We will be 10-4 when we play Washington the 2nd time and I have no clue what football team will be but it won't be 10-4.

Washington is not going to beat the Cowboys twice. I’m surprised if they would even beat us once. Time to get back on a roll starting Thursday

The Cowboys are 7-4 and lost the last 2, WFT is 5-6 and has won the last 3.

This is their schedule:
@ Raiders
Cowboys
@Eagles
@Cowboys
Eagles
@Giants

Cowboys schedule:
@Saints
@WFT
@New York
WFT
Arizona
@Eagles

This game coming up Thursday is critical because Dallas is 5-1 and WFT is 5-2 in the conference games so even if they split, very little wiggle room in tie breaking if Dallas loses to the Saints and they're sitting at 5-6 so that could even have tie-breaker implications if the Cowboys do not take the division. That and losing 3 in a row becomes a trend.

Just another sign of how crazy the NFL has been this season. We were comfortably giving up the rest of the division for dead just several weeks ago and they begin to show signs of life when the Cowboys are playing dead.

The wild card in this is where will AZ be when they come to Dallas, fighting to hold onto the homefield? I don't think they would have that locked up with 2 games left but a lot I didn't think would happen has already happened.

With the tight bunching in the NFC, even making a wild card spot is not assured. Some feel the Cowboys are a lock for at least a wild card spot but don't they have to start winning to even do that?

Not rooting for it of course but a Cowboys loss this week and a WFT win would set up up one hellofa road game next week.[/QUOTE

Washington is on a roll, and they have a winnable game on Sunday. Then look at us. Cue the rating$ drama! With all the Covid/injuries/suspension crap surrounding the Cowboys, and the Saints (of course) primed to play “their best game of the season”, a Dallas loss wouldn’t surprise me.

Pumps a lot of life into the December 12th matchup!

Last week it was "what if the Eagles win out?"
This week it's "what if WFT wins out?"

Nobody's winning out (including the Cowboys, probably). Washington had a nice win against Tampa Bay, sure, but then they barely squeaked by terrible Carolina and Seattle teams.

And if WFT does win out, it means they beat Dallas twice, in which case the Cowboys have much bigger problems.
