Based on what? Some of you guys saw him get pushed back a few times in the first few games against all pro DT's and you made up your minds already. Biadasz has been playing well.

Biadasz is way better than Connor Williams was his rookie year.

That's a low bar. TB has been okay and better than Williams but he has not been particularly strong either. He gets no push just like Connor Williams. TB is really playing full time for the first time this year so we should cut him some slack and hope he improves in the ways Connor Williams has not.

The "phenomenal" 2021 rookie class

Micah - Of course. I intend to write him in for President of the United States in 2024.
Joseph - Nothing. Not even a single.
Osa - Huge first month, disappeared since.
Golston - Just a guy.
Wright - Roster filler.
Cox - Out for the year before he could do much.
Ball - Apparently has polio.
Fehoko - Inactive all season except this last game where they just needed a body.
Bohanna - Zero impact on the run game. Clinging to a roster spot.
Mukuamu - Inactive for the season
Farniok - Ditto

Enjoy it. This is a special group.
WOW those 3 years went by fast.

There were four players on the want list from Cowboy fans.

Surtain
Horn
Pitts
Parsons

Two of the four are corners. So, how did Dallas force a pick if the fans wanted a corner? Is it really a wasted pick if we're trying to eventually reduce Brown and/or Lewis' playing time? A lot of us thought Trysten Hill was a forced pick. Fast forward a couple of years later and Hill is our most productive DT.

So my message to all is... relax and stop judging the book by its first chapter.

I am not sure why you come to a Cowboys message board if you are not willing to discuss the Dallas Cowboys. You are entitled to your opinions.

This post comes across as very emotional and defensive. I’m a fairly middle of the road sort of guy and I try to be objective.

The view of the draft class is like trying to hit a moving target. The arrow can be pointing up or down at any given time. Joseph’s arrow seems to be pointing down from where I stand, as of today. And Creed Humphrey’s arrow appears to be pointing up right now.

That might change tomorrow. I would be ok with that. But that wouldn’t change the fact that as of TODAY this pick is not looking all that great and there appear to be better options who were chosen behind him.

To me, that’s just a perceived fact. There is no emotional investment in that statement for me. But I realize that’s not true for everyone. That’s ok too. Just providing some perspective.
yo are not a professional discus away..im just going into give the place dose of reality..FYI you aren't football pros in anyway shape or from and questioning moves as if you could do better is an issue.. giant azz egos..

Most of these professionals been doing this crap 30years, 90hrs week, and then they get called fat slow and stupid..from fat slow and stupid fans.they in fact did their time , they put in the time and effort to be called professionals and do not need some spare fans sit on the internet world questioning them as if you all effect the game somehow..
#doseofrealtiy.

grab your keyboard and hug it tight , ist all you got..

I hope this isn't another gregory pick where we have to wait 4 years later to get some real productivity

i wasn't expecting any of the DB's we took in is years draft to come in and make huge contributions this year. Next year though we need to see them compete on game days.

I know it’s early on in the process, and this may turn out to be a great pick. Having said that so far this pick hasn’t paid much in terms of return on investment. This pick SCREAMED as a “forced pick on a corner” at the time it was made.

I was really hoping that the Cowboys would have drafted Creed Humphrey to solidify the OL, and he has been a very good player so far in his young career. Again, it’s early, but how much better would the Cowboys be playing Humphrey at center over Biadasz? In my opinion a much better player (at least this year) and Creed was probably the BPA when the Cowboys made their selection in round 2. How he lasted to the bottom of round 2 is surprising.

Let’s hope that Joseph develops into a lockdown corner and makes this team better for years to come. But right now Humphy lookes like he would have been a much better selection.
I expected him to be a starter by now. Having said that, Brown has been pretty darn good and I don't hold last week against him. That was horrific officiting IMO.

If Brown has another bad game, or at least is now a PI machine, i expect we will see Bossman starting to get to see what he is capable of.

Too early and I think his injury and Browns good play to this point have been against him.

Joseph has missed time for different reasons, but he isn’t the only rookie draft pick to do so. But here is the thing, at this point we don’t know if he will be a boom or bust pick. We will find out later this year or most likely next.

I just can’t get over how much better this team would be with Humphrey. The fact that Bossman has netted us zero ROI is salt in the wound.
I never liked the Joseph pick and I was regrettably right about that one. Now I'm hoping in year 2 he will make me eat those words.

Oh yes he does. HE gets push in the run game, knows his assignments and makes the calls. Very intelligent guy. He needs to work on his strength in pass protection which is not uncommon for a young lineman.

Biadasz is #1 in NFC pro bowl voting for centers. I think thats an acceptable bar.

It's because he was injured he hasn't played much this season. Plus he has a dawg mentality.

Not every rookie comes in like Parsons and just plays great especially even out most the season so far due to injury.

With Diggs, Brown and Lewis not many rookie corners would see a ton of snaps.

Joseph will be a very good pick and you guys will jump on the bandwagon like you loved the pick the entire time

Hey, I wouldn't write off Joseph. But I'm with you in not being a huge fan of the pick at the time given what was available.

We had a really good draft anyway

I wasn't too bummed about taking a corner in the 2nd round, but I think most of us wanted them to take Asante Samuel over Joseph.
Most of us like JOK as BPA, but we'd just taken an LB in the 1st so maybe that deterred us.
And yeah, no doubt Creed Humphrey is a player. I just recall having hi slightly later...right or wrong.

The Cowboys started off the draft with a BANG in Parsons. Huge hit so far. Can you imagine if they had selected Humphrey in the second and their first third round pick, and stuck to their draft board the rest of the way, how good this draft class might be? Epic.
The draft is very much an inexact science.

Just look at Trevor Lawrence. A can’t miss generational talent we were told by all the experts.

He is completing only 54% of his passes and has more interceptions than TD’s.

Trevor Lawrence could use some help all over that building . Troy Aikman rookie yr 1-15 . He turned out ok .

They had, Had, HAD to take a cornerback there.

It just wasn't conceivable to do anything else.

Guess what the focus will be this offseason too?

It's a brutal virus.
I'm trying to finalize a draft framework that separates position players from CBs. Maybe if you decide you don't need a position player, you skip a pick and move up 10 spots in the CB draft.

I've been saying since before the draft that the Cowboys should have gone after monster DT Christian Barmore in the draft. When Barmore fell into the 2nd round, it would not have cost the Cowboys much to move up 6 spots from #44 up to #38 to draft Barmore where the Patriots moved up to get. This season, Christian Barmore has been a total beast for the Patriots while playing inside, clogging up the run inside while putting constant pressure on opposing QBs. 6'5", 330 lbs, strong, quick and aggressive, Christian Barmore has been a great pickup for the Patriots and one of the NFL's best interior D-linemen. Imagine where our Defense would be if Barmore was playing for the Cowboys? Once again, Jerry and his group fail badly at addressing our inner Dline and not getting a monster DT when he was available early in the draft. Idiots.

Considering how few cornerbacks we have I would think we'd qualify for comp picks in that draft.

I hate “having to” because that’s how you get a taco
It’s way too early to judge here but as a philosophy you never let yourself get in the position you have to draft a position
If the player fills a need and is reasonably close to BPA then go for it
Personally I didn’t see him as close to BPA or best even at his position
But I’m hoping I’m wrong and we sure won’t know for Atleast a couple years
