No one is forgetting however, it seems clear that Williams wasn't a hinderance on the overall performance with Oline play.

this. McGovern at this point is no better then Williams and our run game has taken a plunge in production since we stopped using the jumbo package.

Here is the other piece to the OL equation....You have 5 weeks left until the playoffs. If you are going to make changes now is probably the time. I would think you would want your playoff OL to be together locked into their position for a solid 3-5 weeks going into the post season. Musical chairs with the OL in week 17/18 would scare me.

Williams was playing well, other than the penalties.

Well, that's where the debate is.. I don't think OL play is the primary issue with the run game, but it has been the last few games, especially last night.

We’ve seen the last of CWill at LG since he is a UFA at end of year. It’s McGovern’s audition time.

Unfortunately he’s playing on the wrong side of the line.

Especially during a game. Those repeated switches on Thanksgiving were head scratching.

That’s the open spot. Either McGovern plays there or he doesn’t play.

I disagree. If Conner is the better player they need him to start.

I don't think McGovern is making the entire line play bad like they have been. Tyron has been as bad as we've ever seen him because of the ankle, not McGovern. Collins is still fat and lazy.

I doubt the line is one bit better if Williams is back in there. The entire offense has been in a funk since Dak came back from his calf. Again, not McGovern.

100% this. 5 weeks before the postseason is not when the Cowboys should be worried about anyone's audition.

Broadus has said that McGovern is better at RG. Then move Zack to LG. He’s great at any spot. Have Zack and Tyron watching Daks blinside.

I prefer putting Collins at LG and Steele at RT. However, if its beteween McGovern or Williams, i would take the 1-2 penalties + williams better blocking. Next season get a LG or Center in the draft or off season.

Right. For a playoff run to? I don’t give a damn about McGoverns “audition” you know what you have in him at this point. Whether you want to see another of it or move on.

Tyrone got gifted with 2 holding calls last night if I am not mistaken.

I tried telling people that Williams was better LG than McGovern. I also said McGovern doesn't play LG as well as he does RG.....if Martin wasn't at RG I'm confident in McGovern playing there but not at LG.
