Why do you either have to be a Hater or Homer?

I don't get it.

If you say anything positive about Dak you are labeled as Homer.
If you say anything negative about Dak you are a labeled as a Hater.

Why can't we as a Cowboy's fan who likes the boy's and their players just offer up
observations and critiques of Dak or the Cowboys without all the blow back ?

Something has clearly been wrong with Dak since the calf injury and I am very concerned.

If it does not get fixed before the playoffs we will be one and done.

Assuming we make the playoffs of course.

I think he is either still suffering from the calf injury or has another undisclosed injury.

I sure hope whatever the problem is, it can get corrected soon.

For the record I really like Dak as a person and player and hope he can get back to his old self.
I sit in the middle....with credit and criticism to all. I get the most flak from Dak apologists.

If I do criticize Dak....I have to first list all the faults of the rest of the team first before proceeding. It's kinda weird.

It's a fair question. I've always suspected there was a Canadian Troll Farm trying to stir up trouble.

It’s not that simple or one sided at all.

There has been a loud group from the beginning of Dak’s career that did not like him for some reason and their critiques changed as they were proven wrong.

He only wins because his team is good.
He can’t throw for 300 yards.
He can’t thrown the deep ball he’s dink and…

Then when that proved to be a bad assessment they changed to:
Anybody can put up 400 yards, but he can’t win.
Etc. etc. on and on.

It is/was pathetic.

It’s clearly fine to criticize Dak. I don’t think many care if it’s grounded in fact and not some overreaction or emotional “feeling” or “eye test”.

It’s fun to make fun of those people that are wrong and can’t admit it. I’m not sure why. I guess it’s that they are obnoxious about it and don’t care about being wrong. And when they disappear then reappear after a loss it’s revealing and transparent which makes it more fun.

On some level they like the attention they get for being the way they are. It’s a win-win.

Nope it's very simple.

mr Brocklin---complete agreement...as fans all we have is our fanhood.....and certainly there are various times players or scheme or coaching decisions are not good and as a fan we should be allowed to express

our opinions about any of it and not be labeled in a negative way....its Ok if anyone does not agree with me and wants to offer their viewpoints but personal attacks including being labeled in negative way is wrong

I've tried desperately to stay out of the Dak debates.

But this dude is regressing somehow....and quickly.

He isnt very accurate and never will be but now suddenly all of our receivers are blanketed on every play.

Are they taking away the pass? That's great because they somehow can't run the ball either.
There are things you can criticize Dak for but accuracy isn’t one of them. Never understood that talking point.

The world is black and white don’t cha know.

For the record I am still a Dak guy. I think injuries, Moore and the terrible OL is the problem.

JWeek--- ha ha ha that was funny...."if it were not for those Canadians"...and i am sure they say.."if it were not for those Americans"....i only went to Canada one time in US Navy for the worlds fair 1986

in British Columbia.....but i cannot provide an accurate account of people, places or things for I was at that time a beer guzzling sailor no matter what port we hit

It's not just a talking point, but a fact. His accuracy, footwork and mechanics are off since his "calf strain". I suspect he will more likely be an average QB for the remainder of his career.

I'm all for good Canadian humor and fun. But I'm afraid once you look past the maple leaf, there lies a dark heart. You can't easily tell by looking at one, but once you take a bite out of one of their stale pastries, then you know.

That probably only accounts for a small OUTSPOKEN percentage of the board.

Haters can't find a way to say much of anything positive. Homer's aren't able to criticize. Most of us are in the middle.

I constantly find myself defending the QB. His second half last night was garbage though, and I'm not afraid to say it. I will also point out the receivers were rarely getting separation and the run game put us behind the chains. KM called an awful game.

It makes me wonder how much input he gets from MM during the game.

uncle Rico--- i have observed Dak not being accurate and most of the time it is due to him not having time to set up and follow through on his mechanics in which he has improved on greatly

in last 2 years.....Dak has worked so hard to improve in areas of weakness....and some of the improvement takes concentration to overcome bad habits....i am very proud of Dak

I praised Dak for his play up to the bye week because I thought he was playing top 5 QB football.

Since the bye week he has been horrible and looked like he has been playing bottom 5 QB football and I've called him out for it.

I don't care to praise him or hound him. I will do whatever the situation calls for.[/QUOT

i too have seen the difference and wonder if Dak is either not fully healthy in calf or something else is injured?

We live under a very binary human perspective.

You are either this or that, There is no other alternative. Up, down, left, right, pick one.

Dak's a great quarterback, far from elite though and has proven recently that he is not clutch as some here have so claimed. To be fare though, there are only a few people here who don't fall in the Homer or Hater category. I wish this forum was filled with more objective fans and you could get objective sports discussions about games. I'm impressed with how much Dak has improved his game through the years. I dread the day when we are back in Salary Cap Hell because of him.

I don't think I have ever seen a player for any team I have followed as polarizing as Dak. He could have his own subsection here and it would be full of threads at all times. He gets mentioned in threads that have zero to do with him. There are people who have serious, unhealthy agendas against him where 90% of their posting history is geared to trashing him.

And the funny thing about it, many of those some people praise the QB before him like he was some god :muttley:

How can you be great but far from elite? Lol. If you are far from elite, you are not great.

Also, there is exactly one elite QB in this league. Brady. And the list ends there. Don't name any one else besides him.

And I love the "proven recently he is not clutch". Stop. Being clutch is not short term ability. Every QB goes through stretches of not as good play. You don't lose and gain clutch. You can be clutch and be in a funk. The same as Fitzpatrick. He is not a clutch QB just because he had a few game stretch where he went off. Same as Dak not being clutch because his last month has not been his best.

Salary cap hell? Lol. The cap rises constantly. Salaries rise every year. We are not going into salary cap hell because of Dak.
