If I confine my choices to those prospects likely available at the Cowboy's pick:

Jordan Davis DL
Daxton Hill S
Jordon Battle S
Ikem Ekwonu OG
David Ojabo Edge
Nicholas Petit-Frere OT

Will be really interesting how value meets need this draft.
Late round pick 25 - 32, could net us a good OT/OG. Edge Rusher, CB, LBer.
I would like to add a 1 tech but we know that will never happen, same with safety. Numbers this early look like Offensive line or Edge Rusher. We will definitely need another corner fairly high as well.

I think we’re in a good spot…class is loaded with CB/DE talent late 1st.

I know it’s early…but who is your favorite realistic 1st round target?

I really like this Brisker kid from PSU (S). Dude is a freak athlete and he can cover CF. I think he’s be a great help for our secondary that needs some help.

Connor Williams and or La'el Collins may be gone in 2022 making OL the critical position to fill - so:
  • T - Rasheed Walker
  • T - Darian Kinnard
  • G - Kenyon Green
  • G - Ikem Ekwonu
However, we'll also lose Michael Gallup and probably Cedrick Wilson. I turn in the card if either of these two are still on the board.
  • Treylon Burks
  • Jameson Williams

2nd round prediction: Drake London - Injured stud WR is a perfect Cowboys pick.

I would keep on drafting DL depending on how the draft falls.
Gregory is an UDFA, Armstrong as well. Anae doesn't seem to be progressing enough to give him a spot and Lawrence is still good but getting older/injury prone.
Parsons to me should be edge, but I would only line him up on the edge for downs that are for pass rushing snaps.

WR could be a luxury but BPA at the same time late in the first.

I think linebacker can be filled day 2 with guys like Chenal, Campbell, Sanborn, Wilson, Harris, Jacobs, Smith(PSU). We just need a consistent 3 down LB who can shed a block more often than 0%.

I think we'll miss out on Neal(duh), Penning, Cross, Green(A&M) and maybe even Kinnard if he can solidy that he can still be a tackle, and a day one starter, in the NFL.
So not sure if there will be any quality OT worthy in the first.Don't want to reach for one.

Even though we took Osa and Chauncey high, it never hurts to have real competition and cheap talent.
Was reading Bruglers mock this am and he has us taking Cameron Thomas (SDSU). 6'5, 280 DE. A while back he was thought as a day 2 guy but he's ahead of Hutchinson for pressures. Seems like he has played inside and outside as well.

The high first round buzz is crazy to me. He’s a solid 1T but he’s a 2 down nose tackle…. Def not someone I’m taking in the first.

Its an awful DT class.

I haven’t really started watching him yet but can he have a Vita Vea type of impact?

I just want some brawlers on our offensive and defensive line.

Interior of our OL is soft and we need some guys that want who can move guys.

No, he’s nowhere the kind of prospect that Vea was coming out.

Vea was a monster against the run and pass as a prospect.

Yeah I need to watch him more.. All I know is he is a massive dude and he’s just a kid.

Someone that can eat up blocks in the middle with all the edge guys we have would be nice.

I hate taking an interior lineman but he’s a no brainer if he’s there. A day 1 starter and difference maker in the middle.Hard to imagine he slips to but we can hope.

Tyler is turning into an above average starter for us…this kid would have to elite for me to consider and I don’t think that’s the case.

I don’t think Tyler is anywhere near the caliber of player of this kid. Linderbaum is an elite interior prospect. No worries because there is very little chance he falls to us.
