Having both Lawrence and Gregory back might hurt pass rush

And I'm saying this because it could take opportunities away from Parsons being at the line of scrimmage as an edge rusher. I think Parsons is so dominate at the LOS that he may end up there permanently next year if Lawrence becomes a cap casualty. Right now once Gregory returns it will be him and Lawrence at D-end so you'll see a lot of Parsons at LB and most likely be blitzing between the tackles and I don't like that nearly as much as when he's on the edge dominating the tackle one on one.

I seen and heard many analysts say the opposite. He can be more effective at MLB. Where he can go sideline to sideline.
Good for the rush defense.
And they can still line him up at DE at times as well. Or rush / blitz up the middle.

Nah...i believe we will see them all swapped all over the line on 3rd and long. They all can rush from outside and inside. Can never have enough rushers...

It will only help Parsons because they won't be able to key on him.

So, now the take is getting two of our best pass rushers back is going to hurt our pass rush? LOL. You just can’t make this crap up? Well, I guess you can.
I guess you haven't watched much of Cowboy's football the last few weeks. Since those guys have been out Parsons has been on a tear coming off the edge, however, opportunities will be lost for Parsons when Gregory comes back. Now I'm not say that won't be good but I don't see Parsons getting the same number of reps at the LOS that's all.

Do you want to optimize the pass rush or do you want to optimize the defense?

And are we still using "dominate" as an adjective? I thought that came and went 15 years ago.

Our run defense will improve on early downs with Parsons at MLB where we'll have more/better ops to rush the passer on 3rd and long with RG, Parsons and DLaw.

Quinn is not an idiot ....... those three will all be rushing the passers on obvious passing plays esp 3 and long.
Yup and where will Parsons be? No need to answer, rhetorical question.

You can have whatever take you so desire. Me? I’ll take getting our players back any day. Frankly, seeing it any other way just makes zero sense to me. Give me MORE fresh pass rushers to run at opposing offenses in varying manners. But, again, whatever makes you happy. It seems to me you’re just creating an issue that doesn’t exist. The staff can still use Parsons any way they want to.
