Hey it is what it is - a win, but we beat a team with a ton of injuries with their third string QB who by the way has rifle arm and with the right system could start somewhere. He is tough as nails. The bottom line we still are a long ways from being a contender for a Super Bowl. I do think once we get everyone back healthy we can make a run and after that who knows.

No double standards here. Haven't seen any threads here about contenders winning against depleted teams. You might wanna head over to the Packers forum and see what they're up to then.

As far as the Cowboys go, missing starters is no excuse for a loss against mediocre teams while winning THIS way against a "next man up" squad still can be called what it was. If you think the O played well, fine, free speech n all. ;)
Did I say the offense played well? A win is a win in this league. That's a fact, and all of these other "contenders, " have wins against crap just like we did last night.

These arguments are lame. Who cares if they had injured players, I don't care if they had to suit up the cheerleaders to field a team, their issue not ours. No one cuts anyone any slack over who is hurt and who is playing, you play the team across from you and you do everything you can to beat them. A win is a win.

Never going to apologize for winning a game or give a rats behind who was in or out for the other team.

I was hoping for a more dominant win but in the end, we won.. period and that is all that matters. Now we have things that need fixing and quick, that is obvious. But winning last night games by 10 points has no bearing on what we will do the rest of the year, it's over. What matters is what we do the next time we step on the field and if they are playing some gradeschool kid at QB because everyone is hurt, so be it, I don't care!

I find this response HILARIOUS. Because when we were missing all those players and lost, did we get a pass? But bucs, pats and on and on lost to the REAL saints, right? Again, hilarious to me the double standard we use for other teams and the Cowboys.
when our guys are injured it gets labled an excuse.

this place sometimes,man.

The Cowboys are 8-4. Why are you such a negative Nancy? It's bad for your health.

Lol yeah with 4 picks right he did. Played like a starting RB, I give you that.

We couldn't make ANYTHING out of 3 picks so the D said on the 4th "we better take care of that ourselves".

The offense is just in a horrible horrible shape.
He threw 4 picks but had a finger injury as well.

I said this after the Chargers game too. Or even after the NE game, which wasn't so bad after all. But yesterday was just embarrassing. Why can't I say this and accept that a win is a win at the same time?

I don't get the complaining. The idea we even won the game is a miracle. We had no time to prepare, injuries everywhere, shotty O line and half our coaches were missing to make adjustments.
Think about that.

Somehow this is going to be what some Cowboys fans do for the remainder of the season, they'll predict *insert team* to beat the Cowboys, but when and if the Cowboys beat them, then that team will suddenly be a bad team. All of the factors the OP mentioned about the Saints, was well known before the game started and that still didn't stop some Cowboys fans on this forum from predicting that the Cowboys would lose to them and fall to 7-5.

Uhmm...but when the bucs, packers whoever beat these same bad teams, they are somehow much better than us.. except the bucs already got beat by the saints.

A reminder that the Bucs lost to the Saints with Siemian as the Saints QB. Siemian who got benched for Taysom Hill.

with Gregory coming back this defense could carry us to at least the playoffs and maybe one win. if the offense doesn't get its act together that will be it

It's a very good thing Dallas didn't play the Saints when both teams were healthy and they had Winston.

Uhhh, hello? We have not had a fully healthy and available team all season long. All teams who have played us have played us at half strength, yet here we are at 8-4.

Considering the quality of the competition when evaluating your own performance is a bad thing?

I have to disagree with that.
