I will say this about Lawrence. I definitely noticed his presence. He really pushed the edge. He’s a real DE so he plays like one.

haha he’s like a 15 million dollar a year player I’d hope we notice him.

Getting Lawrence back will be big for this team.

Parsons, Gregory, and Lawrence should take this defense to another level.

Our passing game is currently what is holding us back and I’m putting a lot of it on Kellen Moore not getting Dak some better looks.

I think a big part of the passing game problem is as Dak pointed out... He's not taking what the defense is giving him be it shorter routes or simply running for the first down.

I find it harder to believe because we were assured last week that Lawrence wouldn’t play again this season

I think those who are against him actually might have been hoping that would be the case.

I would as well, but given what he is and what he does do when he's healthy... He's a good DE and the Cowboys could do far worse (and have). Is he overpaid? I can't make that judgement but he's paid, what he's paid.

All that being said, I would not be surprised to see his sack numbers increase (some) just because with Gregory and Parsons out there he has more talent around him than he's had since he was drafted.
We've been saying that he would do better with more help around him so maybe with Gregory, Odigi, and Parsons, he'll finally have enough. I don't believe he will ever be confused with the greats who do better at making their own lane to the qb like VMiller or Bosa or .... Parsons :D but hopefully he will be better. I'm rooting for him as long as he is a cowboy but I don't have blinders on either and he is NOT an elite pass rusher and never will be. He is a great run defender and an ok pass rusher. That's it.

He is overpaid without a doubt but up until Parsons arrived he had been this teams best defensive player he still may be

You almost had me until that last bit.

Then I just started laughing hysterically.

He seems to be a "technically sound" DE. He simply doesn't make many mistakes. He's not "gang-busters" when it comes to pass-rush, but he's better than average. He's very good against the run–Holds the edge as well as any DE in the NFL.
I am beyond the point where I care about his stat line.

Robert Quinn is still chugging along sacking people. He is not a cornerstone of the Bear D with Mack out. Now that I think about it, we wasted our brief affair with him. That was a good trade on paper.

That can't be. From what I understand, you can't be highly rated as a defensive end if you have no sacks.

But you don't understand. PFF is simply a random process completely unrelated to player performance. Or so I'm told.

I’d try Dlaw sliding inside some
Get Gregory and Micah on the edges
Having all 3 in pass rush is a DC’s wet dream

I'd rather have Parsons stunting in the middle and let Gregory and DLaw do what they do best on the edge.

I don't hold it as authority, but it can be used to confirm what you see.

Parsons has been neutralized when he has been sent in A gap pressures so far, but with inferior personnel.

The best part of Lawrence and Gregory on the field at the same time are opportunities inside, but it will require some fine tuning. I am certain Parsons is up to it.

I agree. Something that I have always thought about Dak is that he is susceptible to trying to win the game on a single play. I see a lot of that going on right now as he is trying to find his way out of this funk.

You hear similar complaints out this way about Josh Allen... Too much "Hero Ball".

It may have changed but a few years ago at least it was a random guy in the UK reviewing games.
