I remember Emmitt going extra miles to secure the Dallas playoff birth...and even before their flight in the playoffs. You go Zeke...
Emmitt had a hurt shoulder not an injured knee..last time inchaecked, you don't run in your shoulder

There is toughing it out and then there is stupidity. Stupidity is where we currently are.

It’s like playing Brett Favre with a hurt throwing arm with Aaron Rodgers as your backup.

Dallas has a problem with players like this and always have. They have no problem playing Jason Witten over guys who are better than him because of status and ego. They will hurt the team to stroke individual players ego.

So I’m for IR’ing him to force their hand but it would be nice if Dallas could do what you say for the greater good. They just can’t though. It’s not their style.
They've moved away from that to some extent under McCarthy.

They played Steele over La'el when both were available.

They cut Jaylon.

They played Neal for more snaps than LVE in multiple games.

Duh...pain barrier at extremes are equally limiting and much more was given up by Emmit then.

knee, collar bone, or hyper extended elbow or not...

I applaud Zeke for his toughness. It’s the Cowboys decision to let him do this and hurt our team that I have a problem with.

Agreed..but my point is..dealing with pain on any part is one thing..but a leg injury for a running back is going to limit speed, lateral ,cutting,etc...Emmit was on pain..no doubt..but he could run inside, get to the edge and get upfield..Zeke cannot..big difference
.
And again..this is no slight to Zeke..tough as nails and apluad his want to play..
But it's doing two things..its keeping him from get healed up and it's not helping the team..the point is Pollard can carry the load for a game or two while Zeke could rest..they had the chance during this stretch
.not good player management..especially for the stretch run and playoffs..Zeke did nothing to help in any of these games
.

The running game as the foundation of the offense was at the crutch of problems, not Zeke.

As to the evaluation of injuries, not being able to breath affects running speed intensely as well. Pain tolerance and guts are the discussive elements being ignored.

Emmit had 170 on the ground and another 60 in receptions..in that game..Zeke hasn't combined to do that in 4 games...Zeke needed to sit..he's not helping the team

He should have been shut down for the last couple weeks..healed up and ready to roll for the most important part of the season..its very simple..

Working very hard to explain the cruxt of what was presented as a very valid consideration. As to comparison of productions, that isn't part of this discussion. Guts is!

As to offense, the running game for Dallas is more of a valid discussion point, right now. Except for specialty plays, it has been the problem...not injury of Zeke. As to for the record.

Signing a RB for 15 million dollars to block is idiotic.

Zeke between the tackles sucks too.

With Pollard the opportunity for a big play always exists with every carry. With Zeke. You might squeeze an extra yard out of it if you’re lucky.
You're obsessed with a TON of what you can't change. While he's good at blocking, he does more. If Pollard were truly this "big play" RB you keep repeating ad nauseam, he would start and get more carries. If he was, I'd be all for, I couldn't care less. I don't have this ridiculous obsession with hating certain players. I'm a fan of the team. Get it through your head next time you respond. Even though Elliott is injured, they still need him. I'd be all for resting him but I trust the staff more than your assessments. If he wasn't a value to add to the run game, he wouldn't be starting. The team needs both. It's that simple.

The running game is not the problem..its the personal and how it's being utilized.
1. We're featuring a running back with a leg injury that's causing him to be ineffective
2. We're not using the RB that is effective, enough.while we could have rb 1 sitting for the last 2 games and giving him 3 weeks to heal for the most important part of the regular season.

Guts is great..but having guts out there with an injury that causes him to be ineffective and where defenses dont have to worry or have to account for gains you nothing..love Zeke..love his toughness and heart..no arguments there...but is he helping in his current state?
We're not asking Pollard to carry 25-30 times a game for 17 games..need him to carry 20 times for 2 games...Defenses have to account for him and defend as a weapon..which guess what that does..opens our other weapons up even more and makes the play action real..our offense with Zeke ,currently is a lot easier to defend when Pollard is out there..Pollard shows, he can get to the edge and break a long one...Zeke cannot....Zeke off a 3 week rest ,with his Guts and passion is a threat..

ES had an OL opening huge holes he was part of a HOF team with run first OL.......Pollard was also under 2YPC up until the one run. hes not been effective in the base run formations and bragging hes better then zeke on one leg isnt saying much,,they both need to play until its locked up and yes a more equal split of the carries but with only 19 carries zeke got like 12 and pollard 7 and outside of one big run both cant find holes

thats on the OL and on Moore..zeke would be fine knee or not if he wasnt being ran into wall all game..

Hadn't really thought this far but it makes sense.......sign a free agent or another RB off a PS

mr Hawkeye-----yes yes yes....whatever needs to be done...Zeke is both hurt and lost much especially as of late.....i hope Jerry does not do his sentimental stuff and because Zeke highest paid RB in league he just keeps running him?....its hurting team....but also as much hurting team is the fall-off of O line in run blocking.....the blue print against Dallas is to load D box and pound and force Dak to beat you with his arm and he
is still injured with calf.....not same QB we saw earllier in year.....i hope getting coaches back from "you know what" and rest and adjustments over 10-day period is enough to put us back to the team that went 6-1?

The problem is NOYT zeke. Its the IDIOT Kellen Moore who runs ONE play up the middle, then CRIES like a little BEECH the run game doesn't work.

So he can use his Boise State air game on the NFL.

Zeke should be rested for a game, see how he responds, then make a call for IR. I don't understand why they keep him in the lineup. He is obviously laboring from the leg injury.

A lot of doctors here weighing in on what Zeke should do. If resting would heal him then yes, rest him. His injury might be the type that won’t heal until the off-season. Rest might not be what he needs at all. I do agree that he doesn’t look healthy but I’m not going to diagnose him from my TV.
