He's not a weak link....but he's not much of an asset.....
He’s a pretty good TE
He’s not Kelse good but he’s pretty good and cheap
He won’t be back next year and we will see a drop off at the position

When is Jarwin coming back? At the very least Shultz seemed to be a bigger part/more effective when he was on the field

There will be some very good TE prospects in the 22 draft. It wouldn't surprise me if we grab one in the mid rounds.

Dalton Schultz has played very well this season. He’s not a weak link. He’s almost equalled his totals from last season.

Huh ? Schultz dropped so many passes in a 3 game stretch before last game that Aikman made a comment about it after Schultz actually held on to a pass last game. And we’ve all seen too many video replays of Schultz’s missed and lame blocking attempts. I was a big fan of his but he has been a liability in both passing and running games.

Just my opinion......none of the TE Dallas has should they keep. None can block in space, and they are weak blocking in line.
None are exceptional as receivers, but at least they are adequate.

Give me Mayer out of ND, or maybe Wydermeyer from A&M and either will be better than what Dallas has at the present time.

Dalton is a TERRIBLE blocker...

That’s the drawback but he’s developed into a pretty good receiving TE. If I had to pick one or the other I’d rather have a TE that’s a good receiver.

Aikman was wrong Schultz hasn’t had a lot of drops this season. He had one clear drop and another where he got hit as he was making the catch. I bet he’s had the fewest drops of any of our receivers. Sometimes I think Troy doesn’t watch the Cowboys very closely. Years ago after Miles Austin dropped a pass he said that was unusual because he usually has great hands. We nicknamed Miles Austin hands of stone because of all his drops. Lol

Shultz is this weeks whipping post He is a good tight end and getting better blocks way better than Jarwin

Some just have to complain

The only player that hasn’t been bashed on this board has been Parsons. I saw one fan ripping Zack Martin not long ago for giving up a sack. He gave up one sack and all of a sudden he’s not good anymore. lol

He’s got 3 drops in 70 some targets
4.2% drop rate
About the same as lamb
Lamb has a 4.4% drop rate

He looks to be tied with Wilson for second place for most drops this season.
