We win when the defense gets turnovers

The Cowboys get turnovers when the other team is one dimensional. That can be by choice or necessity. When Dallas knows the other team has to throw they get a pass rush and turnovers. When the other team is balanced, the defense is bad, there is no pressure from the front 4 and the secondary looks confused.

the defsne didnt play well when we scored 33 points in the raider game..
the defense also didn't show up in the Denver game TEAM LOSS, tampa game defense/Sts lost that, etc etc 4 loses and really only the KC game was truly on the offense when the defense played well score low and offense made all the mistakes..
get passed it check nothing i watch the games

sometimes the ST and defense helps cover the offense and sometimes the offense covers up the defense..
Must win that all of them or none of them.. those have truly come to bare yet this seaosn..no truly must win games unless it has immediate playoff implications or in the playoffs..
so your facts are flawed since its subjective to what a must win truly is..i say none have come up just yet..the win and your in or lose and your out are the only true must wins..
fans can make up must win trap type games but that doesn't make it a fact, its a fan narrative..

ATL game was truly a team win..don't say never a few during that 6 game win streak were also pretty balanced. I mean we crushed NY and Philly and had Carolina locked up after the 3rd qtr..
those garbage points and yard do not count remember..unless thats only for Dak?

getting turnover always helps.
lost to Tampa and KC and had 4,2 turnovers respectively
won against Minn and had no turnovers.
but yes, there is a stat I saw a while back. win the turnover battle by 1 and you have a 70% chance of winning. win it by 2 and you have a 90% and win it by 3 and you have a 97%...that's not just dallas, but every NFL team.

Oversimplified view. You could also say in most of wins the defense could be more aggressive and opposing offenses took more chances because the Cowboy offense was so prolific.
But that wouldn't be the whole story either.
As always, there are lots of factors, and every game is different.
Props to the defense in the Saints game though - gotta give them more of the credit for that win.

If you line up a defensive turnover column with a won/loss column....you find a correlation. Try it just for fun.

I’m not sure that Dak “can’t win games with his arm”. He has proven he can. When he is dialed in he looks like an MVP type of player.
The problem I see with Dak is that he can also look very pedestrian. I have seen him struggle to go through his reads, struggle to hit open receivers and display very poor pocket awareness.
If you tell me which Dak we are going to get on a specific day I can pretty much tell you who is going to win the game.
It seems like if Dak starts hot, he gets his confidence up and plays like an all pro. If I was Dak’s OC I would try to establish the short passing game early and get Dak in a good rhythm.

He can beat the poor teams of the league with his arm.
He ultimately needs a run game in the worst way. The more you ask of Dak the worse our record is.

Of course the more you ask any QB to carry a team without solid contributions from other areas the worse the record will be. That's not unique to Dak or Dallas. No QB does it alone, and every team has a better chance to win when it gets strong contributions from multiple units.
And, of course, although Dak is very good, he's not Montana or Brady or Rodgers and we have to realize that's okay - few QB's are. Every team that doesn't have that level of QB is going to have to get a little more from other units to be able to win.

The only game I felt like the defense truly played somewhat poorly in was the Raiders game. Others they have had mistakes, but they just got beat by the Raiders. Brown's worst game this season, followed by the Bucs (he has been solid otherwise).
That said, leaning on the defense to win games is against strategy. The defense is built to challenge other teams to try to keep up with the Cowboys scoring. The offense has not been holding it's end of the bargain.

You mean the defense actually has to show up for once? Dallas has went over a decade with losing games when scoring a lot of points. It's about time they pull their own weight.

For once....we don't have to go get a beer when the defense comes on. In fact I been doing that on offense of late.

um they didn't show up in the Denver game either....TB game umm mostly on the defense.,,we have short memory's..that exactly half our losses so the OP and most here arent on track..check that..
reality's many games during that 6-1 start were the offense coming out fast and hard and finishing hard the defense got to lay loose and free because offense became one dimensional., a lot of TOs came after game was already long in hand late in those wins..and they became blowouts...
so sticking with losses
