Can't totally agree. Played 14 games, 9 as a starter.

28 Tackles, half a sack, 2 QB hurries, 6 QB pressures.

Many good NFL DTs do less their rookie season.

Being able to see a player's potential is apparently not a strong suit for all. Do we need to bring back some of the DT's over the last few years so they can compare & contrast?

same. even friends who are typically pessimistic seemed to be excited about him. Can't say that I share the enthusiasm, but I'm all for more talent. I'm still (naively) bullish on Hill as well
I agree with you on Hill. He has some attitude and has been coming on lately!

It's been so long ago that I honestly don't remember Neville Gallimore's play. But so many of you seem excited so I'm on board.

And no one knows really how he will play. We need Gallimore and Hill to step up and help Osa and Watkins. We have been soft up the middle.

Our best front 7 is Parsons and Kearse at LB but for us to pull that off we need DT that can stand up to double teams and even better punish them when they try to combo. Watkins has his days but both he and Osa are getting pushed around a lot.

If those two can contribute would be helpful but we need plays at the poa and more push up front.

Very good news, we need all hands on deck, offense and defense, for the stretch run in not December and January. RG excites me more than Gallimore, but Gallimore can be a warm body to rotate in and out and keep the defensive line fresh as possible.

I can't wait for Sunday.

Gallimore looked to have taken a nice jump from his rookie year. We know lots of linemen who see that improvement.

This is based on camp reports. I vaguely remember Cowboys coaches saying he was one of the better summer defensive players.

Three of his last games in his rookie season he had 4 or more tackles, which is good for a DT, right?

Agreed! His late season play last year, combined with the reports out of camp really have me excited for Gallimore to get back. Our d-line rotation could be very good and deep. Osa/Gallimore/Hill/Watkins/Hamilton/Bohanna at tackle and Lawrence/Gregory/Armstrong/Gholston at end with Micah factoring in there as well. Just wish our 2nd round pick would show up a bit.

I think he's gonna be solid for us long term but can't be certain about his 2021 contribution. The injury was obviously more severe than first reported & it would be understandable for him to be apprehensive. Even if he isn't at full strength, just having another guy to put in the mix down the stretch is beneficial to the team.

Glad to see Gregory back in it and healthy. He will have a impact. He has speed and will get there in a hurry.

Gallimore.. Show me. He flashed his rookie year and did ok. I think they were saying he was doing really well before the injury. Must have been way worse than what they first said..

Just a good all around DT can play either side. Can he up his game? We will see soon.
I consider Gallimore and Odighizuwa DEs not DTs. Watkins, Bohanna and Hamilton are DTs (NTs), Lawrence the LDE in three point stance (5 tech on most base downs) and Parsons line up just offset at left outside linebacker edge rushing from two point stance (or occasionally dropping back short or spying depending on QB). Gregory right outside linebacker edge rushing from two point stance.

Osi has done pretty good. Came on fast but faded for a bit. Saw his name called a few times against the saints. Maybe having a full line up will free him up. Gregory will get the edge quick. D-Law will likely demand a double. Parsons they will for sure want to know where he is. So could free up some of the line to get penetration..

Rain in the forecast. Heinecke is going to be tendered up meat by the 4th quarter. Lots of sorry backup-grade QB meat for our elite pass rush to feast on. :flagwave:
