My goodness. Need a replay of our conversation? You are the one that tried to ask a clever question about our offense being ranked #1 when my comment had nothing to do about our offense, it pertained to Zeke. You then tried to claim Zeke was the best RB in 2018 because he was the yards leaders. You’re the one trying to equate a ranking based on yards as being the best, not me. I was simply providing one obvious counter argument that makes it clear total yards leaders doesn’t mean best.

Zeke was not the best RB in 2018. He was the rushing leader. People behind him on the list played better than he did. I know you disagree, you disagree with all criticism of Zeke, probably because you and he are Buckeyes, but don’t accuse me of trying to be dishonest in this conversation. Wasn’t me who was playing games.

I asked you about the #1 offense because it's based on YARDS. Same as running backs. That's the ONLY stat the cowboys are #1 in...by 12 yards over Tampa.

So if you accept that Cowboys DO have the #1 offense in the entire league...as listed in the NFL statistics....you have to accept Zeke's 2018 crown.

If you do not accept it...then we may not be in great disagreement.

I accuse you of being "dishonest" because you choose a season Zeke didn't play for 6 games...to make your point. Which I never actually disputed. OF COURSE he wouldn't have the yardage to be rushing champ.
And so here we are...back and forth. {sigh}

No.

Because for the billionth time, his contract basically precludes them from cutting him until after the 2022 season.
Just think if you would have gotten a "like" for every time you posted it!

On the contrary Zeke is giving this team nothing the last 7 games. He is actually hurting the team. His ego is too fragile to allow Pollard the chance to lead the rushing attack so he refuses not to play even when he is hurting the team.

He thinks it courageous, but its self centered and stupid.

So now you're proclaiming that the coaches are letting Zeke dictate his playing time? So you believe the coaching and training staff are complete buffoons? Sure.. And let me applaud your mind reading skills for knowing what "he thinks." Amazing feat.. Do you do lotto numbers too? Is it possible that the coaching staff has seen Dak get ear holed three times when Pollard has whiffed in blitz pickup (including last Sunday) and concluded that it's not worth the risk to have him in the game more? Or do actual football reasons hold no meaning for you? You wanna whine about Zeke then fine.. but at least TRY to stick to facts.. His production is down.. he's playing hurt.. He's in the game because the team needs him. You don't like it.. call Mike McCarthy.. I'm sure he'd appreciate your input.

To think a guy would have to average 60 yards a game now...to eclipse 1000...is really not that impressive.
Really shows you how average he's become..

I don't think you understand the meaning of the word "average." Average is like the middle.. Zeke is in the top 10.. therefore by definition decidedly NOT average. Even on one leg he is averaging over 4 ypc.. To do that in the NFL might be more impressive than winning a rushing title. He's not going to be among the league leaders in total yards because we have a great #2 back to split totes with. But as long as he's getting over 4 yards a pop as primarily an inside runner and continues to protect our QB he's anything but average. And if you have any doubts about the value of that last one watch SportsCenter on any given Sunday evening and see how many QBs are getting blown up because their backs DON'T do what Zeke does for Dak. Or just watch Pollard's "lookout" block on that guy that forced the fumble by Dak last Sunday.

Zeke clearly tells them he is fine when he shoudnt play. You would have to drag me off the field to take me out, has been his exact quote. We know he has been dinged up for 7 weeks and he never rests. Its obvious.

Though this is nothing new for you. You cant see even the obvious.

I am sure Zeke realizes the the only thing he has left is his claim to durability.

Pollard with a torn foot doubled the ypc average then your hero Zeke.

You look so silly its laughable.

Zeke in the last 7 games isnt even in the top 20. LOL

And when Zeke was averaging over 5 ypc Pollard was leading the NFL with over 6 ypc.

So Zeke is nothing more than a back that gets the yards that the Oline gives him. Nothing more, nothing less. And even on his own team he isnt even the best running back. Pollard does more with a great blocking line and a poor one.

Zeke is a JAG and those are the facts.

He isnt the #1 back in the NFL and he isnt top 5 or even top 10. Not even the best back on his own team. All your claims have been blown out of the water.

I have never disputed Zeke’s rushing title in 2018. It’s an objective stat based upon total yards. I dispute him being the best, which is subjective. 2017 just goes to show total yards doesn’t dictate who the better player is. 9 other RBs weren’t better than Zeke that year despite rushing for more yards.

I also don’t think the Cowboys offense is the best, despite being #1 in yards. You shouldn’t have even brought it up, but you tried to use it for yo agree we were ranked #1 like Zeke was ranked #1 in rushing yards in 2018 to force me to claim it made
him the best that year. Your plan didn’t work.

Not true. I brought it up to ASK you...like I DID...ask. Then you got all mad about it. Shall we review?

Here is me just asking you...politely:

The point of ASKING....was how you accept NFL stats. I see you dispute them. Fine. There was no huge conspiracy or subterfuge that you seem to want to force. It's called a discussion where we exchange ideas and questions.

You're the one that wanted to spring a trap about a season cut VERY short.

I suppose we should move on here....it's getting out of hand. Gotten.

How in the world do you think I dispute stats and how in the world do you believe I am mad? I thought it was clear we both believe being ranked #1 in stats (yardage) doesn’t equal “the best”? Or do you believe it does?

This’ll be two straight years without 1000. I still believe he’s elite when healthy but I think their not resting him will give justification for cutting him next year. Resting him even one game would’ve helped his knee and he’d easily get 1000 yards. Thoughts?

You believe Zeke is elite when healthy?

I don't know where I go with that.

Think he will be here next year.
Pollard will be a free agent after the 2022 season
They might cut zeke then and use his money to sign Pollard.

Zeke's 2022 salary is already guaranteed. There is not way they cut him and eat $30 million in dead CAP when they are projected to be $19 million over the CAP already. If anything they will restructure him hoping to get his 2022 CAP number down from $18 million, which is absurd for a deteriorating RB who may not be the best RB on the team. The only thing they could do is trade him, but who in their right mind would take his contract?
