Catch, we as fans have a teaspoon of knowledge about Joseph. If that.

I have the knowledge that if a corner goes down or is out with the seasonal flu that he will be starting and they have gotten him nearly 0 experience and have had opportunities to do it.

That’s all you need to know.

This is a critique I have with this team right now.

They are 1 play away from him becoming a starter and it would be good experience for him to play in some of these games with Dallas having a big lead and they have just not gave him an opportunity whatsoever.

This isn’t a bash Anthony Brown thread or anything but basically get your insurance policy at DB a little experience.

Id hate to see this guy get his first start against a elite QB in the playoffs and never have got much playtime.

If we get up a couple scores on WFT then let the guy play. Give him a few series.

The dude's been hurt, unavailable, or excused pretty much since draft day. Hard to find burn for a guy like that ijs.

Good coaches don’t play players based on draft position. They play them based on if they’re any good or not ready.

And that’s not the reality of the NFL.

Players play who aren’t ready all of the time. If a team makes a big investment they’ll play that guy before he has earned it or is ready. That’s just normal in this league.

We [the fans] don’t have the advantage to see him practice, he obviously isn’t out l performing Brown or Lewis at practice & I had high hopes and high expectations for this guy. When drafted I thought he’d be better than Trevon Diggs but that looks way off rn.

Brown and Lewis are playing great.

I’m not knocking anyone.

All I’m saying is the guy has no experience and it’s almost playoff time. When we’re up on these teams they should let him play so if we are playing Green Bay and something happens to a corner it won’t be Joseph’s first time on the field in a legit game situation.

Seems almost impossible that the greatest DB prospect ever can't find his way on the field. Could it be possible that there are reasons for this?

If we are up a couple scores late in the 4th qtr sure get him reps. But these coaches are focused on winning the game at hand and they should be.

The only mistake is our exepctations for a player versus the expectations of the coaching staff that see the player every day. He isn't relied on as heavily as we imagined, and that's fine. They will get him going when they think he is ready.

I do not think it is unrealistic to expect a second round draft pick to contribute. It is also not unrealistic to be a bit disappointed or concerned when a second round pick never sees the field.

Dan has said he's doing good, but maybe he still sees too much risk. I don't know how he's doing in practice, but I want to see him make it on the team as more than a gunner.

Bossman needs to earn some reps.

Big Mike knows what he's doing.

Dan Quinn knows what he's doing.

Al Harris knows what he's doing.

I believe that now, the better player, plays in games on this team

Ok, well he’s 1 play away or a seasonal flu away from having to start whether he earned those reps or not.

There's another 3 corners behind our starting 3. If he's looking better and practicing harder than 4 corners on this 53 man roster, than he'll be playing. Right now he needs to look better than at least 3 and does he so far?

Only the staff, the team and maybe himself know.

Do I want to hear that he's so good he needs to start over Lewis and Brown? Hell yeah!

Obviously not the case for whatever reason right now.

Joseph started showing up a little at gunner a few weeks ago. He's at least beating his man to the PR and making a tackle here and there.

Doesn't sound like much, but it's more than he was showing early in the year, so it's progress. The Parcells method of making guys prove themselves on special teams first has a lot of merit.

If Lewis goes down I don’t know what they do.

If an outside corner goes down Joseph is playing. It’s true. Like it or not.
No, you said he has zero experience and he's played in games.

I don't disagree that Joseph should get some reps in garbage time situations and if Dallas beats Washington we may see him play a lot the last two games. But if I recall the preseason games he played it looked to me like he and Brown have some similarities in technique. Neither play the ball. I think with Joseph it just may be an experience issue. Once he gets some playing time he probably will play the ball more. But it is something only playing time can tell us.
