WR is one of the easier positions to find an acceptable substitute in the draft. There are tons of good ones in every draft, in just about every style and round. You just have to make your selections wisely.

Being the Cowboys will be picking 32nd, WR might not be a bad option since all the premium OT talent will be depleted.

Do you know who Golladay is for the Giants?

Either Gallup or Cooper is gone. I would bet Gallup.

Gallup is clearly a luxury at this point that we realistically dont need and cant afford.

Yes, lol. He’s their starting WR. Gallup is not a number 1. Plus they take from us. Even Washington and Philly could be landing spots. Regardless Gallups isn’t going to get this astronomical payday and if the HC wants him at the price we can be happy with and Gallup is fine with the targets, they will keep him or he will leave.

We can also draft or just develop what we have even further.

It really isn’t that complicated.

But you talk like Michael is this superstar in the league and will be this overpaid hot commodity that only cap rich teams can keep. He is not and him being injured doesn’t help his market either.

You can go all other avenues all you want. But Michael Gallup is not a superstar #1 WR that is going to get a huge pay out after an injury riddled season. His calf, lol!

LVE has proven more than Michael Gallup and he won’t be getting a payday either. No recent stats and injury history.

Michael Gallup. No recent stats and an injury history. Yeah, yeah, we get a nice catch here and there like LVE has some old tapes of nice tackles too. Gallup has some footage of him dropping the ball on critical downs this season also. He’s not getting a huge payday. Period. He may not be unaffordable. Period.

Anyone else thinking this last night? When Turner has gotten his opportunities, he has produced well. Good hands and has some speed and moves. I like him. With him as our #3 next year I am not so worried about losing Gallup.

Cant keep them all.

To me we need to keep this defense together. Gregory and Kearse need to be the top 2 priorities in the offseason.

Gallup is gone and I would let Shultz walk if he wants big money.

OP are you forgetting about Megatron 2.0 the TJ Vasher?

Top notch OG’s, C’s, LB’s, SS/FS, RB’s and TE’s dwell in those picks usually every draft.

We got Gallup in the 3rd. Cedric Wilson in the same draft in the 6th round.

Cooper and Lamb are 1st rounders. We don’t need to go 1st round for a WR unless it’s BPA.

I was thinking the same thing.
Gallup is very good and somebody is going to pay him (Eagles or Patriots). But I would be fine with Wilson, Turner, and a mid round draft pick as depth WR's next year

They'll probably draft a WR regardless in 2022 regardless of Turner, Vasher, and other developmental WRs on the roster.

It's nice that Turner flashed some ability but...
- He has been in the NFL 4 years and only has 17 total catches.
- He played less snaps/game this season than Wilson or Noah Brown.

The Cowboys can't alter their free agent (Gallup) or draft plans based on Malik Turner.

Also, it will be interesting to see if T.J. Vasher shows up in the preseason next year.

Wow, I never thought of that!!! They will have no one at TE!! Better pay him then.
as always you are obtuse about any argument sent your way. Unless you haven't watched this team for the last 3 decades our QB's have had their safety blankets, and not one of them was just picked out of thin air. Put your goggles on and read what I said in terms of unless he is asking for the moon, you resign Schultz. If Kelce just left the Chiefs do you not think Mahomes would suffer? Honestly almost no point trying to make you understand a point outside of your own, so not sure why I or anybody bothers. Oh and do you have any faither in this team being able to draft/sign a TE to compliment this offense?

Oh saw this before I posted. I agree they should draft a guy Malik Turner shouldn't stop them from drafting a guy. Bring him to camp and let him continue to work hell he may still make the team.

If we let him go, you do realize we start next year with no TE? Jarwin at this point cannot be epxected to contribute to this team in any fashion, depending upon how insane his contract ask is we need to resign him if at all possible. You can't just snap your fingers and find a "guy" that is Dak's safety blanket. There is no argument to be had here, so don't even try to convince otherwise
I don't know man....I kind of agree with you but I kind of think they can find another Schultz. To me the Cowboys haven't had issues finding tight ends when they haven't drafted them early. Geoff Swaim, Blake Jarwin, Dalton Schultz....hell Sean Mckeon has potential...I'd probably go as far as to say I treat tight end like running back. I'd just draft someone rather than re-sign them.

I hear you but put your hand up if you had enough with Swaim before he left, and have had enough with Jarwin? With our QB being who he is, I have zero confidence in Mckeon right now, and I have no faith in our ability to find the right fit for what Dak needs. Again, this all depends on what the contract ask is. We overpaid for Jarwin, and no, I would not do the same mistake again with Schultz but at this time nobody knows what he will ask for....the way WR's are coming out now I am not worried about replaicng Gallup if need be because of $$$$$

I agree. I was actually kidding a bit...well, I hope I'm not kidding about the draft position if not the position chosen.

This guy could help if they develop him over next year. Fat Mike is known for developing mid round WRs when he was in GB.
