I thought the same thing. However, early in the season he WAS giving up a lot of yards even though he was still getting the INTs. I think over the last few games, his technique has tightened up and he's improved his coverage skills.

Kazee's ineptitude at times is responsible for at least 300 of those yards.

yeah just like that deep bomb WFT hit last night to WR Dyami Brown(#2). That should be on the safety but since diggs was there bet they put that on diggs. Diggs seen Kazee right there and thought he would get the pick instead of Kazee getting mossed.

It counts against Diggs because he was the primary defender while Kazee was the help defender. Diggs played it OK, though, while Kazee did a poor job of making a play on the ball.

Was that not Diggs guy? If you need the safety to come do your job then you are not a shutdown corner. Kazee has his own issues but that WR belonged to Diggs and he beat Diggs on this play. Yes the safety should have been able to help defend but that doesn't absolve Diggs on his responsibility on this play.

Diggs gambles sometimes trying to make the big play, but he is also really good in coverage. NFL Twitter talks like he sucks in coverage and just gambles every time so "of course" he gets a pick every once in a while. It's such a lazy take.

Remember when that MN fan, whatever his name was, was tweeting he didn’t think Diggs was much of anything and that he couldn’t wait till Dallas came to MN?

Good times…

Totally agree. It’s the kind of reductionist take you’d expect from a brain that would recommend a roll of soaking wet toilet paper for butt wiping.

you just gave the same lazy take. What instances can you name where Diggs gambled and got burned?

Need a faster free safety to cut off those deep throws. Anthony Brown or Bossman Fat should be at FS. Kazee is not the answer back there.

Notice in the replay Diggs is looking back at the QB almost the entire time while running with the WR. That can cause you to lose the WR sometimes, but I like it better than just following the WRs *** and sticking your hand in there when the WR goes to catch the ball.

He doesn’t “need” the safety, he adjusts his play to cover underneath “expecting” the safety to do his job over the top. That seems to happen a lot, he’ll cover underneath and peek at the QB knowing the support is there and get burnt because of inept safety play.

Was the opposite on this play. The receiver went inside under diggs and the safety help came from underneath. To your point though he normally plays trailing the receiver. But the point is he can't be a shutdown cb if he needs the safety to make the play.
