Someone doesn’t know how NFL football works.

Hey, and it’s one of the anti-Dak know-nothings.... shocker!!!!

Eh, I've been around a lot longer than you apparently. Never cared much about seeding but there were no same division first round playoff games until 1990.

Ok saw someone say philly fans think last game with dallas may be meaningless.
And I could be wrong, but if Minn,Atl,NO, all lose this sunday and phil beats wash, then they clinch WC spot.
The 3 I stated are all 7-8 now, and Minn plays GB in GB, and Atl plays buffalo, so odds are they lose.
Saints play carolina, they could win but hard to tell with those 2 teams.

Dallas may need to win to improve seeding, but maybe not. A win might not help them.
And Phil may not need the win except to improve seeding, but maybe not. That depends on what SF does.
So they may be playing to change their seeding, which could wind up being both want to lose to play a different team. or both want to win for same reason.

Bottom line is phil needs to beat the hapless wash to ensure a wc spot.

Only if dallas or phil or both lose this sunday will the last game be more meaningful.
Could be . I’d actually welcome a week of rest.

And luv your avatar.

It won’t be unless we lose against AZ and even then I think we may still need to win against Philly.

Yea, even if we lose vs Arizona, we probably want to win against Philly because we would still be alive for the #3 seed vs the #4 seed

Right, so you’re a casual fan. It’s okay.

You’ve “been around a lot longer” yet you’re completely ignorant to how playoff seeding works.

I don't want a meaningless final game. We've seen this before. We rest our players, and then come out rusty for the playoffs. Same old same old.
They is no way the game would be meaningless to us

Too many variables to sort out now for divisional champs seeding. The Eagles really need only play to get in the tournament as a WC then they can heal up during week 18. The Cowboys should approach the game vs. the Cards like it is the SB.

I think they will be able to take Philly resting guys who could use the rest. Play healthy, marquis starters for the 1st half. I would start Clement in week 18 and let him lead the team out of the tunnel. That man will be fired up.

For the most part I don’t see the Cowboys sitting any players because of the rotation on defense we have seen recently. DLaw and Gregory need reps. I even think Dak needs a snaps as he seems to be getting healthier. The only players I see sitting are Zeke, Zach and Tyron. I would love to see the corners rotate as well as the linebackers.

Nothing would be finer than rolling Philly two weeks in a row.

We need to win out and we need Green Bay to lose to Detroit, because they sure as hell aren’t losing at home to Minnesota.

It’s looking like the WC teams are likely going to be Arizona, SF and Philly with the Saints having an outside shot. I’m ok playing any of those teams in the first round so 2 through 4 seeding is a bit irrelevant.

I'm ok playing any of those 3 teams too but don't agree 2-4 seed is irrelevant. If we get the 2 seed, the game after we "hopefully" win will be at home but likely an away game if we are seeded 3 or 4.

I'd rather only need to win away once in the playoffs to get to the big game.

Philly needs to win.

GB has to beat the Vikes.

Saints lose to Panthers OR 49ers beat the Texans.

Under these results, Philly would make the playoffs in Week 17.
Those are all likely scenarios, Eagles beating a beat up Washington team, GB beating Vikes, and Saints lose to panthers or 49ers beat Texans (more likely).

If we win the next two, we are a 1-2 seed depending on Green Bay. We likely get the 2

Philly is tied with SF. So we’re going to get SF or Philly
Not true. If we win out and Green Bay loses 1 game, we are the 1 seed regardless what any other does. But, winning out does not guarantee the 2 seed. We would also need the Rams to win out if Tampa wins out. We lose the 2 seed to Tampa if it’s only a two way tie with them. We get the 2 seed if it’s a three way tie with Tampa and the Rams.
