yeah, in tht scenario seattle is going to be a tough venue. they have had their run and perhaps time to rebuild. Wilson knows they need a lot to get there and no first round picks is tough...that's why he is looking to go to a team that's a QB away and perhaps Seattle to recoop some picks.....there was rumor Wilson would agree to go to NY. not sure why...they are a mess. but I can see him inwith Saints, Broncos and even Cleveland as a long shot.

I think the NY connection has something to do with his wife and being in a high profile city. I don't agree with making a career decision based on that, but it's his call. But I think that there are a few teams - like Denver and Cleveland - that would be quick contenders adding a motivated Russell Wilson.

He'll interview with Jacksonville even if only to get some leverage with his current pay/position. I'm not sure how it all works but I imagine turning down an interview with one team gets you on a certain list for other HC opportunities.

I could see the JAX job going to Pederson or Leftwich. The Jags have a franchise QB, James Robinson, Etienne returning, the top pick in each round and Carolina's 3rd. I could see an offensive guru wanting that job with those pieces and that draft capital to work with.

Hes pulling a Phil Jackson. Only go where I can win. He knows he isn't superman and the jags would be a 2 year stop before he's fired again. All of you thinking he's starting in Dallas because he's ok with being a DC are naive.

There’s only 32 NFL teams. If you want to be a HC you don’t pass up these opportunities. They have a potential rookie franchise QB to build around. I find this strange unless there is something else going on.

True but every year there always seems to be head coach interviewing opportunities because 31 teams failed to make it to the Super Bowl and likely 20+ didn't even make it to the post season. Besides I always thought it was hypocritical to head coach interview if your team was a post season contender. If you expect the players and other coaches to 100% loyal and focus at the upcoming games then how do you justify preparing for a head coach interview. It can also be a distraction and concern particularly for players that have bought in to your offensive and defensive systems.

My hope is he enjoys being a DC more than a HC and will stay here.

I think that’s true. He can concentrate on what he’s good at, get paid AND get appreciation in a much better organization that’s currently loaded. He likes it here, likes his players and is smart.

Im not 100% sure, but I think McClay gets paid on par with GM's
Jerry does pay McClay handsomely to stay here doing much of what a GM does. I'm not sure if it's ever been publicly disclosed because it's not subject to the salary cap. Multi-billionaire Jerry Jones can pay McClay whatever he wants to pay him. McClay has been quoted saying he is content where he is, doing what he does, working for the Jones family.

Or maybe he doesn’t want the HC title again a la wade phillips. Look at the accolades he’s getting for turning around the Dallas defense.

let’s be real. Quinn took over a defense that Nolan had built brick by brick. Kind of like Tomlin taking over Cowhers SB team

Are you serious?? Interviewing for the head coaching job in Jacksonville, is like Interviewing for a job as a CEO of a huge company with employees who are all lying in a comatose state and you're expected to turn things around with a roster full of people vegetated brains.
