"Before you blame Dak."

lol.

Some people have been blaming Prescott since they detoxed themselves from their 2016 season euphoria high. It's 2022. Maybe 'Before you blame Dak for the umpteenth time' would be better.

Dak was never elite. He had time in the pocket and a top tier running game. Once that started to slip, his game dropped even further. I've said it before, but his biggest issue was that early in his career, we had the best line in the game. He was given all the time in the world to throw the ball. It taught him to hold onto the ball and wait for the play to open. Now that same behavior creates holding calls on the Oline and overthrown balls. Especially now that we have no running game to speak of.

No...but when we convert a 3rd down...and it gets called back because of holding...that is a lot to overcome.

When we are trying to establish the run game....and the TE completely whiffs (AGAIN) on 1st down...and we lose 3 yards. And now we are in 2nd and 13...that is HARD for a QB to constantly overcome.

And the defensive coordinator completely SCHOOLED Kellen Moore. I get the QB gets the majority of the blame...because they get most of the praise....but Kellen Moore, the OL and the run game etc..were all bad today.
Think maybe we convert some of those 3rd downs that are called back because the penalty allowed the team to convert?

Dak is at fault as much as anyone but not more .
Special teams was crap with missed field goal , fake punt conversions leading to a ten point turn around , defense could not get off the field but it was all dak ? Dak had 3 TDs thats usually enough to win a game
Every phase of the game, plus coaching stunk. All around ****** game.

You've literally just backed up my argument.

I have said it, many millions have said it. Dak succeeds when put in the right situation, and when not he struggles. Dak on his own is not Patty, Aaron, Tom (ick!), Brees or any other hall of famer. If anybody expected him to be so, then this is on you. He was a 4th round pick, not expected to be Burrow, Herbert, etc.

From a Dak fan:

He was bad today. There were a lot of passes he would like back. It seems when the rest of the team bogs down, he bogs down with them. It's a bad pattern. Even though his final stats actually appear decent, he stunk today. And again, I support him.
I agree he was not great. But is he the sole reason he was not good today? That is what I am trying to point out.

People are so upset with how much money he makes...that they expect him to be a solo act. Just like people expect Zeke to run for 125 yards...because he makes a lot of money. Forget that he is hurt. Forget that he is hit behind the line. If you make a lot of money...you should overcome ANYTHING. But let me tell you...that is not how it works.

Dak reverted to the Yips. Yips have been his problem late this season. For goodness sakes, they had a depleted secondary and Dak made them look like all stars most of the game. I'm glad he is using his legs, but he needs to use his brains.

No doubt he was inaccurate at times. Of course there were some misreads. He seemed rattled on occasion.

But the ENTIRE offense was bad!!! Coaches, OL, RBs, WRs etc...

Dalton Schultz CANNOT block. People might like him because he catches and has yards. But when you have Cooper, Lamb and Gallup..and Zeke in the backfield...someone has to be open. And often it is Dalton Schultz. If he made tough catches....I could understand the love. But he makes routine catches because he is wide open. My point. He is not all that impressive. TEs in this offense need to be able to block to for the run game to work. And he could not block my grandmother (who is deceased by the way)....so I will not miss him.

Untimely holding calls. Lack of separation. Bad play calling. But more than anything....the inability to run the football. And this is not something that just started happening. When the playoffs start...Dak is NOT going to throw for 450 yards 4 straight games. We cannot run the football. And because of this...our ceiling is the divisional round.
We can't run the football? No. We choose to continue giving carries to Zeke instead of Pollard. It's absolutely insane and it's getting close to the point I'm not sure why I even watch this team anymore, at least while Jerry is still alive.

Zeke is averaging 4.2 yards per carry now. That's below guys like Devonte Freeman (yes...the one that was on the Falcons seemingly decades ago and was out of football for a bit), Michael Carter, Sony Michel (traded for peanuts in offseason), D'Onta Foreman (LOL), Ronald Jones, and the list goes on and on...because 4.2 yards per carry is pathetic especially given he's not getting Derrick Henry type volume. If Zeke was a NFL team, he would rank in the bottom 10 of the NFL in yards per carry.

Meanwhile...GUESS WHO LEADS THE ENTIRE NFL IN YARDS PER CARRY?!?!?!?

Hint: The guy who got THREE F****** carries tonight.

Maybe...but do your job. Don't hold!!! And if you block it right...and we throw it and convert it...the chains move...the other teams defense stays on the field...we gain some momentum...and we can open up the playbook.

I agree with you. Dak wasn't the only problem today too. But I also like to be realistic, he did not play well today at all. It happens to every QB. At least the Cowboys didn't need this game to make the playoffs or the division. They're guaranteed one of the top four seeds and I don't think they matched Arizona's intensity.

What are your favorite plays to call when your QB has accuracy problems and the DL is in the backfield every run play?

The offense wasnt bad. It looked bad because of a bad QB.
