The Bengals are the least penalized team at 68 and their opponents are the 4th most penalized at 112.

I think most people would agree that refs can swing games. It's the part where they deliberately do so (weekly, it seems) to the detriment of the Cowboys that is laughable.

League-wide the refs just suck.

Deliberately swinging games against the Cowboys, while calling more penalties on the Cowboys opponents than any other team has called on their opponents?

Just keep sticking that head in the sand, looking for excuses.

I see a fan looking for excuses. After 26 years of Jerry & Son playing fantasy football, I understand, but 'the refs" aren't the Cowboys real problem. It starts at the top.

Not excuses an observation that I won't be blind too.

The refs aren't the cowboys real problem. Agreed. But the refs are changing momentum..drive outcomes..and the final score way to often too ignore.

Umm, I'm not saying I believe it. In fact, I think it's completely nonsensical to think the refs have it out for Dallas. I was just pointing out that while the refs can swing a game, they actually aren't deliberately doing so to screw Dallas.

Cowboys opponents have the most penalties of any NFL team's opponents. How much more help do the Cowboys need, and why?

I misunderstood your previous post. Thank you for clarifying.

Lots of talk about the Cowboys having the second most penalties called on them, but they've also benefitted the second most in terms of penalties called on their opponents.

Dallas has been penalized 112 times. Their opponents have been flagged 111 times. Only Pittsburgh's opponents have been penalized more often (112).

NFL penalties

surely this can’t be true- many of our fans think there’s a clear bias against us lol

Well, there's the proof. The NFL wants a small city team from Ohio to suddenly be relevant. Doesn't make sense financially, and couldn't have anything to do with their recently-drafted Heisman QB, but there you go.

A holding call on a 30 yard run is not the same penalty as a holding call on a 1 yd run.... but yah I want to blame refs.

There is some truth to this. The timing of the penalties makes a big difference. Of the 4 Cowboys holding penalties today, 3 came on 3rd downs (2 they had converted) and the other came after a 20-yard run. Just like on Thanksgiving where they were flagged for pass interference 5 times…all on Raiders 3rd downs.

Shhhh,

There's a lot here that badly want the Cowboys to be victims.

You can’t deny a blatantly bad non-call on the fumble.

That being said, teams will have to expect bad calls and play well enough to overcome any - something that our whole team failed at: Dak’s fumble, missed blocks, penalties, dropped passes. Our offense, defense and special did a nice job of doing the opposite of last week: losing in all 3 phases.

Sounds like the players even feel like they have to overcome officials.

Nobody cares about how many penalties teams get. The issue we have as fans is WHEN those penalties are being called. Anytime we gain momentum a play gets called back by a penalty. If they want to call all of our penalties at times in the game that don't matter? Have at it.
So? Yesterday lots of our holding calls, if not all were correctly called. Same with the PI.

This whole "playing against the refs" fairy tale is just an excuse. If the team can't overcome the occasional bad call like any other team has to, then it doesn't deserve a SB win anyway.

Yesterday was fully on the team and bad coaching decisions. Not saying it was all on Dak, but the team just sucked. Haven't played many contenders this season, so it's 11-5 because of our weak schedule. Yesterday once again proved that. Whether it's Dak, the O line, our kicker... it's always something.

Arizona couldn't bring their a list, we had almost everybody on board. Played at home. Were pumped from the Washington game. They came to town on a losing streak. But no, it couldn't be. And the refs were the least of our problems.

Now rest everybody against the Eagles, that game won't mean anything anymore. And then start fresh and regroup in the playoffs. Come out of the gates like you came at the beginning of the season.

I guarantee if the cowboys get to GB, he will be the ref. Hell they might just trot him out for our first round game to get the job done. He hasnt done one of our games since TG so the timing is about right.

he will end our season

Dak sucked, the team sucked, the defense sucked and Z sucked like usual. I normally complain about the refs and I normally feel they're out to get us. But yesterday we lost cuz of our QB, running game, defense and ST. We wouldn't have scored to make it interesting without some PI calls on Arizona. This team is an average team that can't play with the big boys. It is what it is. Unless you're Aaron Rodgers or Tom Brady the refs will screw you. So other teams have overcome the refs and beat Aaron and Brady. Dallas can't and it is what it is. We lost because we sucked not because of the refs.

Holding occurs on literally every play. Unless you believe that Parsons or a Lawrence weren’t held yesterday the Cardinals backups were just dominate and great. Please. Open your eyes the officiating was a joke.

The offense was a joke. Our kicker was a joke. Coaching was a joke.

Bad reffing is a part of the game. Don't sign up if you can't handle it. That goes for any sport by the way. And as this thread shows it hits our opponents just as bad.

So your answer is basically don't call the penalties on Dallas, what is wrong with you people, do you watch the games the penalties are legit, what Dallas needs is to play decimated teams playing 3rd string or PS QB's and defenses that have most of their starters out then they really shine. The excuses people throw out here are really pathetic. The reason for the loss was the offense was bad most of the game with all their starters playing so no excuses there. The D played a good game unfortunately they seemed to be on the field most of the game due to the O's performance. Let's not forget to give Mcdummy is due again also for his poor coaching.

My answer is call the plays equally on both teams…..
