Cowboys - Eagles game moved to Saturday 7:15 CDT

I wonder if it were flexed because the fact is it is largely meaningless. If they put an important game in that slot, it could affect the outcome of important games on Sunday? The league probably wants as much up in the air playoff/seeding options on Sunday as possible.

It's also gonna be cold as **** Sat night here. Cowboys better bring their benches.

We’ll rest a number of players and mail in the game looking ahead to the playoffs. Don’t be surprised if Philly wins by 2+ scores. I’m expecting us to come in looking pretty flat on Saturday. I’m just hoping it’s not an embarrassing performance.

Eagles have clinched a playoff berth. The only significance of this game for the Cowboys is maybe a higher seed. The Cowboys are also a ratings generator as well.

I think they are in, win or lose.

I'm assuming this means Dallas will play one of the Saturday WC games.

Maybe they want to minimize any short weeks for WC teams.

If Dallas was to have a Saturday WC game, then this would actually help.

It was probably 12:00pm as most games were and they changed the schedule because seedings aside, it'll probably be a competitive game.

I would spend the entire week coming up with a run game plan only…just run the ball on every down…have people turning the game off by 1/2. I’d come up with every boring college run scheme out there…lol. And just for fun, I’d have CD Lamb throw his tshirt into the crowd in quarter 1, then off to the dressing room, each quarter a different receiver…

It’s simply flexed because Dallas and Philly wouldn’t play their starters if a team like LA or Arizona played and won Saturday

If we don't get 2nd seed, we won't get to face the Eagles in the WC. They just clinched a playoff spot yesterday.

I've noticed when Tyron comes back after missing a game his performance is usually subpar. but he bounces back the more he plays.

Dak & the offence needs all the reps he can get.

SF needs to beat LA to make the playoffs. Who knows with the Cards, they had lost 3 weeks in a row including to the Lions. Who says Seattle cant win that game? Dallas could still be competing for the 3rd seed.

The Eagles will trot out their preseason defense to protect starters. We will send out Dak and the boys to put up 40, puff out their chest, and have something to talk about aside from the refs.

They’ve already destroyed the eagles so nothing really to prove. They should work on the offense in the first half and then pull most of the starters.

We shouldn't work on anything more than being as healthy as possible the following week. We should play nothing but back-ups.

There is no point working on the offense against the Eagles JV defense. If they can't get their shhh together after 16 games, its not going to happen.

The 2 seed was the bigger prize. Is the 3 seed that big of a deal at this point

absolutely. With the 3 seed you get to play Saints/niners/eagles instead of Rams/Cardinals in the wildcard round. In divisional round you would travel to Tampa instead of having to travel to Lambaeu. You don’t see the big advantage in that?
