Yep, we need more diversity in the running game.
We don’t ever do a toss, sweep or anything like that, we just lineup and go up the gut. I’d like to see us take advantage of Pollards elusiveness and speed on the outside.

Fingers crossed that they have some plays stashed away for the playoffs. We’ll see

Hope they can fix Dak, I really do.
With his contact he ain't going anywhere.
AND , We are only going as far as dak can lead us.

Yeah the question is.. is it more on Dak or more on Moore? Or is it 50/50. I think part of the problem is Dak believes everything Moore tells him.. because Moore is smart and speaks authoritatively when talking offensive football and I think Dak eats it up. What Dak needs to realize is that football aint played "in theory." On the field stuff aint always clean and the formulas don't always add up. Sometimes you just have to be better than the other guy.. Period. I would really like to see us try and get back to "I'm better than you" football as opposed to "I'm smarter than you." Yes I'm smarter than you looks really cool when you actually ARE smarter than the other team.. but these good DCs the past several weeks have proven that we aint smarter than them. So we need to figure out how to be better than them. I think that starts up front. We need to be more physical and less finesse in the run game. I would take a long hard look at moving Collins to LG and start Steele at RT. We have a power deficit at LG and Center and that move would remove half that deficit.

Teams that are really good have their key players playing up to or exceeding their contracts.

When you have large contracts and the player playing well below it, it kills your team because it ties up cap money and you can't keep quality players nor sign quality free agents.

Right now we have several large contracts that are not being lived up to.

1. Zeke, love the guy and he blocks his butt off, gets tough yards, but what else does he give you ?
2. Coop, Disappears several games a year.
3. Dlaw, has his moments, but has been hurt and not the consistent impact player he is being paid to be.
4. Dak, a Good but not elite player. Making elite QB dollars. We will win a lot of games with him, but he seems to really struggle against better teams. Really has a problem with being consistent with his mechanics.
I was really hoping that with Coach Mac being a QB guru that he could help Dak elevate his game and
improve.
And he did the first 7 games of the season.
But he has been so up and down the last 9 games.
I still have hope that whatever is broken can be fixed because we are tied to his contract with the guaranteed dollars.

Many of you guys don't get it. I won't explain why I say that, because you will get offended. Not trying to be disrespectful.

It's very simple:

Fix the Oline. Get a better Oline Coach who knows how to get these Olinemen in much better shape, become much more mobile, thus more aggressive, AND who knows how to teach them better technique, stay low, fire out, be quicker to the hole and drive...drive...drive and dominate your opponent.

Philbin has to go. Period. Don't care about his past accomplishments, how many years he's been in the league, how he's friends with McCarthy, Jerry or even you. He has not been doing a good job at all. I can see the mistakes on film. All of our Olinemen are doing it. Get a much better Oline Coach come in who can truly transform this Oline into a dominating Oline, and you will see Dak, Zeke, Cooper, CeeDee, Pollard, Schultz and all other specialty players shine.

It's not about smarts.. it's about want to. and I don't think Moore wants to run the ball. I can see no signs of it in his play calling and demeanor. Aside from when Jerry called him out after the Tampa game and we went on that nice run using the running game he has been extremely reluctant to let it be anything but an afterthought.. That's who he is.. and I'm afraid he has taken Dak along with him because Dak certainly has as much power on the field to audible TO run plays just as he does away from them..

Young play-caller tend to be this way. This is the big criticism with McVay from Rams fans as well.

Football is won and lost in the trenches. When we have lost it’s because we get beat there.

running for 2.5 yds per carry won’t win many football games no matter the qb. It’s a prime recipe for losing.

Could dak be better? Absolutely. Is our offensive and defensive line soft, most absolutely.

I guess I should have asked:
Any thoughts, comments, or rebuttals ?

Think about this and I know it’s the NFC East but if you win in Philly with # 4 playing 16 of 17 games you will have won the division by 3 games that’s huge and flipping the script from 6-10 to 12-5 an immense improvement . Plus a 6-0 in the division.

For this teams playoff chances & confidence Philly is anything but meaningless . A win sets the table to go into an Arizona rematch ( or Rams ) at home looking for playoff success . Gallup was a big loss in the passing game but Wilson & Turner can stretch the field while Lamb and Coop can obviously do damage.

To have any success going forward it’s the RUNNING game that sets the table to be able to throw for 300 and find receivers open ….can Zeke and Pollard crack the 100 barrier to have Dallas go to an NFC title showdown probably in GB ?

this is a soft team. both physically and mentally. that includes Dak. he folded last night and he hasn't looked the same since the patriots game. he looks lost. he looks frustrated. he looks not confident. not sure why, but previous years, he had that "it" factor when things were down and he tended to just bring energy to the game during crucial times, but since Patriots game it has been the opposite as if the moment is too big for him and he plays scared.

and for that matter, the Running game hasn't been good. when you rush 12 times for 25 yards....that's less than 2.5 yards per game. then you have issues. and its going to be much tougher to do anything. when you miss opportunity after opportunity and don't make plays, then you have bigger issues....earlier in the year the team made those plays when things were down, but now they fold and continue to miss on those opportunities....that's Dak with his errant throws. that's zeke, pollard, schultz dropping balls. the whole team is playing nervous. they are not playing to win. they are playing not to mess up. they are more worried about not making plays than actually going out and making plays.

i agree with this we have gone a little soft , probably because the nfc east has been a relative cake walk, this is a bad time of year for teams already in the playoffs, its a distrqction that we hav e made it already,we'll be playing these guys again for a couple of big fights in the playoffs, we will know how hard we are then, no one needs to be injured for the big games, so i can see what you mean by they look nervous, they sure did.

So from reading your response you believe all of our underperforming players are due to a poor offensive line?
DLaw plays defense so I dont see how that makes sense?
Not trying to be disrespectful just trying to understand.
Thanks, John

Am I correct Dak wanted 4 yrs Jerry foolishly wanted to tie up $$ for 5 and Dak won the bluff for a 4 yr deal ? So # 4 will only be under contract three more yrs after this season ? That’s three yrs to figure out if a guy who will only be in his early 30’s by then is either the “ guy “ or goodbye. I’m glad it’s only a 4 yr deal with three remaining .

I thought it was obvious I was referring to Dak and our Offense? My apologies. I should have been more clear.
