Dak was running past the LOS therefore it was an effective block. I am sure Zeke would say he needs to do better because that's the kinda guy he is, but if you throw a block and allows your QB to escape the pressure or sack it was still effective. The LB made a good play.
Zeke didn't even block air. He got run over, and you know it. No need to lie about it.

The lb made an amazing play punching the ball out from behind Dak as he was going down.

He was able to do that because the rb got destroyed.

There is no other answer.

An indecisive quarterback bailing out of the pocket is always a recipe for an easy strip fumble in my opinion. They're easily distracted because they have no clue what they wish to do with the football, and therefore loose focus on protecting it as well. Dak is responsible for that fumble. No one else.
Twisting and turning to fit the narrative...so ridiculous.

Looked pretty decisive to me and made more guys miss on that run that Zeke did all game.

Ignoring the real problem to get your agenda across..typical.

That's no excuse for Dak failing to protect the football while running into two speeding linebackers in the middle of the field.

The amount of mental hoops and hurdles you make to defend Dak is very impressive
Ya, he shouldn't have fumbled...agreed.

The defender hit it at the perfect time...it happens. He was going down....wasn't like he was running with it extended or unprotected.

Dak had to run because his Oline and RB couldn't block for more than a second without a defender coming at him. I don't care which QB in the league you would like to substitute, they would definitely had lost the football with it being punched out from behind like that.

You know it. I know it. Everyone knows it.

How is that??? When posters on this thread say he was carrying the deadweight of his teammates.

Don't know and I don't get to caught up in it. I'm a Dak fan and I absolutely think he could lead this team to a championship. That said it was an awful game for him, the worst I can remember, and he gets the lions share of the blame for this one.

Ya'll haters are crazy with hate.

This game was not on Dak. If anything, Dak kept us in this game.

I counted 5 batted balls and 2 drops. That is 7 of his 14 incompletes for the game.

There were 2 passes I would deem bad by him. 2.

His fumble in the 2nd to last drive...it sucks, but it happens and was a great play by the defender. I am more happy that he ran the way he did making people miss (more than Zeke did all game) and not afraid of his leg. If that 22 yard run didn't get called back, he had 2 less yards running than Kyler that you all think is the 2nd coming.

THis game was not on him but here is what was the cause of the loss:

  • The total lack of a running game and threat of the run. Just anemic. No one respects Zeke as he is clearly hurt.
  • Horrible penalties. Many advantageous 3rd downs turned into much more difficult 3rd downs.
  • Another crushing missed chip shot fg.
  • Jayron dropping that gimme pick in the end zone.
  • The HORRIBLE non-fumble call on a clear fumble at the end of the game. The defense finally made a play and the refs screw us. We last saw the ball with over 4 min left...never get it back. Clearly this is Dak's Fault.

You guys are all dejected and blaming our QB but I am encouraged. I see us beating them in the playoffs. I really do. I expect our defense to clamp them down even more and I expect our offense to not shoot themselves in the foot like they did today.
I agree it's not all on Dak, and the things you mentioned were issues, but realistically he did not play well. There were at least 3 passes in the first half that would have extended drives that he flat threw poorly, and most were not difficult throws. There were a few more that weren't particularly difficult throws that could have been bigger gains that he just flat missed.

I believe some are unreasonably harsh on Dak at times, but it's just as unreasonable to act like he plays well when he doesn't.

I saw zeke take a vicious blast to save dak. He's been doing that since day one. Dak owes him.
I saw a hobbled RB who shouldn't be on the field valiantly throw his body in front of an NFL LB with little success.

False. QBs like Mahomes or Murray would have slid into safety. Something Dak needs to work on.

It was 2nd & long. Dak didn't slide because he was trying to get that 1st down since no one was in front of him. The pressure came from behind. Hard to see.

I know you think you are making a point here...but there really isn't one.

100 less in 1 more game. Training wheels. You guys would be crucifying Dak if he was running the same offense.

Burrow is a great young qb. He also has one of the most dynamic wr's in the league to throw to. Not hard to understand.

Cousins and Carr are good qbs. They tend to choke in the big spots...Dak doesn't. Hence why Carr has never been to the playoffs and Cousins has 1 win in 9 years in the playoffs.

Umm...interesting seeing as how many on here were screaming for Dallas to continue what they were doing in games 2-4 wherein Dak was averaging 26.75 pass attempts a game and Dallas was playing very well....which is the history with Dak whereby if Dak throws less than 32 times/game Dallas more than likely wins whereas when Dak throws more than 32 times in a game they do not win as much....

...as for Burrow, yes he has a dynamic young WR yet Dak has had Cooper, Lamb, Gallup, and Wilson....so thanks for showing Dak has had more to work with yet Burrow is outperforming him.

Regarding Dak not choking.....have you seen any games where Dak needed to win or played against tough teams.....and choked? There are plenty of examples.

Lastly, do you really want to point out that Cousins only has 1 playoff win in 9 seasons (he actually played in 4 playoff games but only started 3 going 1-2) when Dak only has 1 playoff win in 5 seasons?

From snap to the start of his scramble was 2.8 seconds....that is with a 5-7 step drop back.

Also, Dak is top 10 in the league from snap to pass at 2.2 seconds.

Try again.

Well when you dink and dunk of course you will have a low snap to pass time.

Interesting seeing as how your friend pointed out it was near 3 seconds from snap until 1 defender was approaching the backfield.
