Hey now he has an equal amount of carries as Henry and only a few less yards

and 8 less games

I'm about sick of Zekes decline myself, but this only serves to illustrate he's not getting enough carries.

I put a lot of that on KM, although I recognize gaining 1 yard on first down puts you in a hole. Maybe if we didn't do the same garbage run up the middle every damn time we'd have more success

The man is so overpaid its not funny. Demarco Murray was a better player and we let him walk over half Zeke's salary. Great management there Jerrah.

1700 should be the bar and that’s just 100 a game. Yea 1000 is pathetic, if he can’t even get that.

Seriously folks, why blame Zeke for his lack of carries, or his lack of production, when the OC and QB are the ones deciding his fate and the OL decides the degree to which his success is limited?

Yeah the bottom line is that if the Cowboys knew they were going to go in this direction offensively then they never should have signed Zeke.. plain and simple. There is more than one way to win NFL games.. great passing, great running, great defense.. but the best combination is to be good at all three.. or at least two of the three. Right now the Cowboys are so so at passing.. bad at running and good (not great) on defense. They are not truly great at anything. That spells a quick trip home from the playoffs. If one of them catches fire in the playoffs they can advance.. but which one is it going to be? The passing game, the running game or the defense? I never thought I'd say it but right now I trust the defense the most. But all it takes is for the offensive line to pull its collective head out for the offense to really take off. That's what I am really hoping for.. That's why despite Chandler Jones being a really tough matchup I was fine throwing Tryon out there against him after so much time off.. You want Tyron knocking the rust off now not in the playoffs. I think he clobbers whoever lines up over him at Philly and if there is a rematch against Jones two weeks from now Jones is going to have to up his scream and flail game.. cause Tyron is going to kick his ***.

Getting 1,000 yards for the second highest paid running back in the league sure doesn't seem like much over a 17 game schedule. I know he is one tough and smart dude when it comes to football, but the tread is pretty worn down for sure. I don't see him turning this around. Tread doesn't regrow on a tire, you gotta get a new back with better tires. I expect Zeke to have one more year here and then he is gone and someone else will be the lead dog.

Yeah 2022 is probably Zeke's last year in Dallas.. unless they can convince him to take a pay cut and come off the bench.. I'd love to have a beast like that to bring off the bench to close out games and use in short yardage.. I don't know if Pollard can handle the every down role but the Cowboys need to have a young buck in the hopper for when Zeke moves on and Pollard gets hurt.. which I believe is inevitable if Moore is still calling 90% the runs right up the guy which him as the lead dog.

1000 is the new standard as a primary back in a 17 game season? Figured you aim for more.

Zeke is worn out. That's what 400 touches a season will do to a guy. I hate that this team goes into games with just two RBs knowing this is a 17 game season. Fresh legs for the playoffs is a must. And neither guy has them. Pollard is close but Zeke is only good for blocking.

Zeke started the year playing well.

games 1-4 he had a 5.34 YPC
games 5-8 he went 4.38.

Since then however:

games 9-12 he had a 3.18 YPC
games 13+ he's been at 3.26

Some might blame the OL, but check out Pollard's splits:

games 1-4: 6.76
games 5-8: 4.37
games 9-12: 5.69
games 13+: 5.09
