If Moore gets offered the job he needs to take it.

The Cowboys are married to Prescott for the foreseeable future. With his rabid fan base protecting Prescott, Moore needs to divorce himself of that situation as quickly as possible. Prescott will kill his career and eventually McCarthy's and the rest of the coaching staff as well.

Unfortunately the new OC will be saddled with a QB who has questionable mechanics and struggles to read defenses. The new OC must be prepared to be blamed for all the QB struggles and realize that it's the end of his career. Probably some retread OC similar to Nolan as DC in 2020 will get hired for the money. I can't imagine a young and upcoming OC will want this job knowing the situation.
I’m assuming you won’t watch anymore Cowboys games?

If he’s offered the job should take it.

It’s a dead-end in this dysfunctional organization. He’ll never be anything more than a glorified puppet.

Jax has a potential stud QB with 4 years left on his Rookie contract to build around for a franchise than go nowhere but up.

And a better coach.
Your opinion is welcomed. Leftwich probably is a better coach as of right now. But anyone headed to the Jaguars to run that team better have at least a 5 year plan and the patience to fail. Moore isn't ready for that challenge at this stage and that's my own opinion.

He will probably get the job. The Jags are looking for a HC who knows QBs. Moore has a reputation for being a guy who knows QBs, being an ex-QB himself. I am not saying he is the best guy for the job. I am very down on him right now, but I suspect he is a front runner.

But if you look at the Cowboys offense right now, it is hard to imagine how Moore is not held accountable for some of the problems. Like the dumb play calling, receiver routes, unwillingness to commit to the run, the league lead in penalties on offensse, etc. Maybe he is a good mind for offense but he might now be a good coach.
Wouldn't any successful coach be a front runner for the Jags job. They only got two requirements -
1 - don't kick your players
2 - be good at your current job (optional)

He doesn't have the stature to be a Head Coach any where imo. OC is fine for him. I just can't see juiced up men taking him seriously.

I wonder if he is going to call plays we never seen because it will be part of the selection process and it will showcase what he thinks he can do with Jax.

If he ever has an opportunity to showcase it's when the playoffs start.

I would say Byron Leftwich would be a front runner. 1 He drafted by Jacksonville as a 1st rd pick. He coaching experience a little more extensive than Moore
You are probably right, but what did Leftwich do before Brady came in and turned around the franchise?

If we're dead-end I can't fathom what Jville is. I think he would've took the Boise job if he wanted to be a HC so bad. He's probably using this as practice for down the line

I have finally been convinced that it's time for Kellen to move on. In fact, I'm ok with paring down on a high-flying passing offense. I'd like to see an overhaul of the running game and retool the RB stable and OL to make that happen.

I hope he gets the job and the Jaguars might just be stupid enough to hire him.

He obviously wants be a HC in NFL not NCAA.

You didn’t grasp my meaning of dead-end here.

At least their GM can be fired

Any venue where you don’t have this joke of a dysfunctional ownership without being a puppet of sorts would be more desirable for most head coaches.
