I’ve been to a few Cowboys Eagles games in Philly. I thought since this one didn’t mean much to either team it would be a calm experience. My 10 year old wanted to see his Cowboys in person.

Wow what a bunch of low life’s. I’ll say some of the Cowboys fans were instigating the philly trash but most of these philly fans are just complete garbage humans. The females may be worse than the males with the garbage that comes out of their mouth. I got to see an Eagles fan harass a cowboys fan to the point the cowboys fan pushed the dude down the stairs. A bunch of eagles fan swarmed him after. Of course the cans of beer were flying. It was a brisk 18 degrees out.

If anyone else reading it was there I was sitting in section 242.
I got to watch my team beat up an eagles team tonight but honestly I’m more affected by the loss of hope I’m feeling from mankind. Passion is one thing. But to want to and try to hurt people over something you have no control over is disgusting.

I’ll have to have a talk with my kids in the morning to see if I can unwrap what’s in their minds after that experience. These people are just so trashy. Like depressingly comfortable with being a garbage human.

Did you video any of it. Make a T-Tok or IG reel with it and show the world how pathetic they are

I went to college in Philly and have lived in the DC area for the last 25 years. Going to a Cowboys game in Washington is a pleasure. You're surrounded by Cowboys fans, the Commander :lmao: fans are almost always well-behaved and a non-factor. I would NEVER go to a Cowboys game in Philly... especially not a night game. And if I did, I wouldn't wear any Cowboys gear. Just not worth it.

I'm glad you got out of there without your family being hurt. I really wish there was a special section in each stadium for visiting fans to sit safely together, but I know that's not realistic for many reasons. I'm glad you witnessed a 50-burger in person.

In England and European football... there are designated supporter sections for the away supporters whom have traveled. Same thing for MLS here in the states. Away supporters have their own section. If your wearing the other clubs shirt, you're on your own walking into the stadium.

I have been to almost every major city in mainland America and the one I hate the most is Philadelphia. I have never had a good experience in that city or with Philly fans. They can take their cheese steaks and shove them.
NY is another city I hate but mostly the last 15 years since it has gone down the toilet. Even LA is better than Philly and NY. I am not a fan of the fake New York on the West coast either - San Francisco.

Reminds me of my visits to Pittsburgh and Penn State (I've not been to a game in Philly).

Must be a Pennsylvania thing - obnoxious drunks, foul-mouthed women, and punks ganging up on visiting fans.

Could be. Im from PA and to be fair, I wanted to kick a 40 yard FG with the Patriots fan sitting in front of me at the Cowboys game i flew down to see in Dallas. The rest of the Cowboys fans were docile in comparison.

My wife and I were talking about the felons Philly calls fans and it's really not safe to go to Philly home games unless you are a the size of an NFL off/def lineman.

That's too bad but that was probably quite an experience for the kids.

Easy, they have the misfortune of living there.
yeah but that doesnt explain why fans/people are so bad there. why that one area?

I think it is the booze, but there is booze in other areas too.

I know there was a cowboys fan killed while in DC for a cowboy wash game, after the game he stopped to get something to eat, and was
attacked by a wash thug/ fan , hit in the neck with fist, and it closed that artery and he died.
The cowboys had won the game.

so I would be careful anywhere you go, and maybe not wear team gear, go incognito, and save the jerseys for in front of your tv.

Well, it’s the nurture vs. nature thing. You grow up in that environment and you take that on.

You are right about being careful anywhere. I went to Denver for business years ago. The Cowboys were playing Denver & I went to a local sports bar to watch the game on their big screens. I didn’t have any Cowboys gear on, but it was obvious I was a Cowboys fan because I would clap and cheer when the Cowboys did something good. I was the only one, everyone else were Broncos fans. They were extremely aggressive and mean. Some of it was probably because, as a general rule, Coloradans very much dislike Texans.

I was at the game last night and it was a recipe for disaster. 1.Cold 2. Eagles sat starters. 3. vs. Cowboys

I never will condone the violent treatment our fans do. Especially when kids are involved. But when I watched a cowboys fan sit there and instigate by yelling "This is their super bowl" (I still don't know what he meant by that) among other comments about peoples mothers, I wasn't surprised the crowd turned on him. No violence happened but he did quickly quiet down when confronted. I'm all for positive cheering (in all sports, especially in my children's wrestling) but I have a problem when negative comments are directed at a person or team. I agree philly has lowlifes, but so does ever other team. Unfortunately I think the last person to die at an NFL game was at AT&T stadium where the suspect was egged on by the crowd to kill the victim. Fans should be free to enjoy a game in any stadium, unfortunately some fans can't.

Always said that’s one place I’ll never go for a game. Probably wouldn’t go back to Washington either bc the stadium was so bad but people were friendly. Giants fans liked to banter but they weren’t hateful at all. Sorry ya’ll had that experience

Dude it’s soooo much much more than the booze in Philly. It’s a mental mindset of a tough blue collar town showing the flashy and oil rich Texas fans what’s up and it’s been going on for decades.

It goes back to the 70’s and the notorious upper deck 700 section where Cowboy fans were brutalized for years. Then they beat us in the NFC Championship game with Danny White and it became official. There are so many factors but go watch the movie “Invincible” and the hatred they have for Dallas in the movie.

By the time the 90’s rolled around Philly talk radio stations were doing 24 hour on site PRE GAME shows where people drank all day and night and god forbid if it was a Dallas night game.

I’m frankly surprised the OP would even bring his kids into that environment with the reputation and experiences that Cowboy fans have had there for years.

It’s not like it’s a surprise what can happen.

I’ve only ever seen Dallas games in Detroit. I’d like to do a road trip to a game in Dallas…that would be the ultimate game experience.

I went to the game that Murray broke the record in Dallas. I was at the stadium for almost 8 hours, and I took in the total experience of tailgate to walking the field and the gift shoppe after.

Real easy experience and stadium and fans to spend your time at.

I have also been to Mile High and the Metrodome. Real easy experiences there.

In the past I travelled for business. Always past on Philly even though there are city sites I would be interested in. In my line of business most of the conference organizers to events I attend all avoid booking Philly. There must a reason.

I feel your pain OP. I had the pleasure of watching Romo lead the team to an OT W on Monday night...in Buffalo. I'm not a small human, 6'5" 250lb, and got punched in the back of the head by a kid who was like 13 while his Dad sat back and applauded. All because I was wearing my Emmitt jersey. I didn't even clap or cheer for goodness sake. His dad was lucky that my soon to be wife was with me or the little crap would have witnessed his Daddy getting a butt whooping.:D

Another reason I will never attend a game in Philly. People don't spend hard-earned money for a game to put up with a bunch of idiots trying to pick fights.

Each and every time someone on this board visits the Linc, they come away relieved they survived and vow to never do it again.

Strange as it may seem, if you go watch the Phillies play across the street, those fans are just fine. Very good experience. But still, you have to be in Philly to get there, so nope.
Went to Phillies vs Giants game when San Fran knocked the Phillies out of the playoffs and went on to win their 1st World Series in 2010.At first they were joking with the Giants fans but near the end of the game they were looking to fight anyone with Giants gear on.We were in a good section 200 level. My son and I didn't were Giants gear and kept pretty quiet but he got mad and wanted to fight them.I explained to him that there about 50 K fans were here and about 49 K were Phillie fans.I did let on who I was rooting for when I quietly said lets go Freddy when Sanchez came to the plate with a runner in scoring position. Two young girls turned around and gave me a funny look.I wanted to say if you think thats bad I'm a Cowboy fan too.
