It reminded me of the games during SCAB year in the 1980's. Dallas' starters crossed the picket line and played against other team's "replacement" players.

The Commander's replacement players actually beat the Cowboy starters on MNF lol

We easily beat an Eagles team but do feel we are any better off now regarding the playoffs? and how far we will go?

We did get the run game going better which allowed Dak to look like one of the best in the league again but is it once again a smoke screen?

No, I dont feel any better. I felt great heading into the game against AZ. We had EERYTHING going for us and no way should we have lost that game. We were soundly handled. We were clearly outcoached and that game absolutely crushed my hopes. I am not getting fooled again. Im going into each game not very confident and hoping we win Thats it, no expectations. Ill enjoy the ride, but I wont be shocked if we lose to whoever it is.

I think it comes down to what you wanted out of this game.

If you want a real negative focus, consider PHL, as a p[layoff team, has the worst W-L record against .500+ teams in NFL history, they are O-fer.

One thing I do know is that the Cowboys did win the East and swept it by an average margin not seen since the merger.

Smoke screen? Doesn't matter, what's going to happen is going to happen regardless.

I do know this. That game gave me a hell of a lot more confidence in their first playoff game than that AZ game. Does that really matter? No, but it does to me this week and that's all I care about. I feel good going into the playoffs and did not at this time yesterday. And if I am wrong, that doesn't really matter either.

Being happy, optimistic and positive is a choice. It doesn't just happen to us. In this case, there is evidence to support both viewpoints so it is purely our choice.

I’m glad Big Mike played the starters last night.

On the age-old question of rest vs. rust I agree with his approach.

This win was totally expected. Dallas is great in games against bad teams. They are the complete opposite when facing good teams. That is who they are. Wins against good teams are few and far between, despite having a lot of talent. The Cowboys are mentally weak and they have a lack of heart. The Eagles game proved that the Cowboys are just what they are accused of being. Great against bad teams. It is a high probability that they will lose as soon as they play a good team. The Cowboys have struggled through the years to have a team identity. Well, they have one now which is being a mentally weak team that comes up short when playing a decent team.

I dont like the way a bunch of practise squaders could move the ball against our D, which contained a lot of starters.

I don't feel any better. We beat up on weaker teams & collapse, mentally and physically, against quality teams. SB teams can beat anyone they play. Don't think we're there yet.

Resting this team has not worked out in the past. They seem to show signs of being rusty very quickly.

I think most fans learned after the Washington blowout that you can’t get overly excited about pasting a depleated team. We played against Philly’s entire backup unit and they hung in for awhile. They actually took the lead early in the game. Our defense didn’t play well at all. Our DL was being manhandled. It won’t be so easy next week.

A lot of talk about how weak NFC East and they aren’t the west but it’s far from the worst division this year

heck yes I feel better. Did you see Dak yesterday? He is clearly back on track to lead us to the next 3 or 4 SB's. He is playing as good as any qb in the league. What is there not to be happy about???

Exactly ! Dak needed a good game going into the playoffs. IMO his confidence seems all over the place, and we need him ready and sharp. This team will go as far as Dak takes them. After the Arizona game, Dak was not going to take this team far at all. Now, I give it a roll of the dice which Dak shows up next week, could go either way, but a bit better chance now after yesterday.

for me, it’s just not this one meaningless game. The entire sports media has recognized that the offense has been in a slump and if the Boys sputtered against the Eagles backups it would have been disaster

……disaster was avoided, however their performance still doesn’t signal their return to their first 8 game greatness……like I’ve said ad nauseum, the playoffs is where the rubber meets the road and that’s where some of us can truly evaluate this team……the rest is just conjecture

Just my .02 cents, but last night the Cowboys scrimmaged the JV team. No surprises. Ive never seen so many blown coverages (Phila). Cowboys need to forget this game and get ready for the tournament next week.

We did not beat a bad team. We destroyed a bad team. Momentum
That's been their MO for years. Beat the heck out of the bad teams in the division. The Cowboys need to break through and beat the Cardinals to be a legitimate threat. Otherwise this is all stuff we have already seen.

Got a point. I think it was important for Dak to throw to Wilson some and work on our deep threat with Gallup out

No I just don’t think it matters in the least.

Maybe we should do what Green Bay is doing since they can beat the Rams, Cardinals, and other good teams.

Destroyong the Washington’s and Falcons doesn’t carry over to the next game for us.
It looks like they can’t beat the lions. Green Bay actually sucks, they just get a little luck from the referee gods
