What do these people have to do to make you happy?

That's really my only complaint. Dak has to stop making his receivers reach back, or even stop their route to get the ball. You simply can't get YAC (assuming they can even catch it) when you don't lead the receiver.

agree. I cringe when I see they are about to get blown up. Yesterday Wilson and Cooper almost got creamed because of those passes……nobody expects perfect throws but the 2 issues I’m seeing is the ball placement AND all the passes being tipped by the defensive line

Certainly respect that and I used to be the same way but I discovered I had missed opportunities to be happy waiting to be happy. I had set conditional terms to be happy.

I hope people do not misconstrue that as I am calling anyone out or their fanhood, believe as they will. But I saw the hammering was beginning on Dak, Zeke and Kellen, three people who gave their all in this "meaningless" game to others and was puzzled by it. Some =act as if the Cowboys chose to play PHL and asked them not to play their starters.

They can only control what they can control and they did not do that against AZ, they did much better in PHL and that made me happy.

Blitzen, as far as how far this team can advance in the playoffs, I am not anymore optimistic than I was about that but I am about that first game. And that is all that really matters to me at this point.

Coach, one can be happy and still have honest concerns at the same time

the day my personal happiness depends on a players performance will be the day I stop watching them

I would also add that some people here are dependent on a utopian group-think atmosphere where everyone is free of critiques…….the diversity of opinion in this forum is what makes it the best sports message board around…….

Prescott set the passing TD record for the team, throws for 5 for his first time and he looked comfortable and sharp. His WR's were making the catches for him.

Elliott was a hammer tonight and went after that 1000 yard mark with tenacity.

Moore called a good game, had 29 rushes and they scored 51 and will lead the NFL in scoring.

And yet, the negative comments keep coming about these 3 specifically when they took care of business and swept the East for the first time in 26 years with a ridiculous point differential.

Have you conditioned yourself to just not be happy with them no matter what they do?

They were not in control of who PHL put out there against them tonight, they were only in control of what they knew that had to accomplish to get some confidence back.

McC and his staff got the players to play with fire in their belly, to get their offensive swagger back and go into this first playoff game on an upswing and feeling good about their team.

Man, I swear, some of you would hammer them if they won it all with "well that's fine but what are they doing next year"?

I watched this game tonight with one goal in mind, get my belief back, get that mojo back that I feel they will win this first game whoever they play. I got that so I can't be negative about anything they did, they surprised me with being ready to play that game and it didn't matter who was on the field against them.

Note: This is my thread as a poster and has nothing to do with being a mod.

Grab happy when it presents itself and hanging 51 on Philly in Philly should make us all happy. Sweeping the East should make us all happy. You deserve to be happy, take it if only for a week.
Atlanta, Washington...and now Philadelphia High School. It's not about "being happy". My happiness is not at all tied to this team. I know better than that since 2009. The Dallas Cupcake Beaters simply haven't shown that they are trustworthy when it involves the playoffs.

How many "get right" games will it take? How many more times will they scam us? How many more times will they dazzle us with 50 burger games, only to crap the bed at the first sign of REAL resistance?

I have no qualms with Elliott but Moore is not the man for this offense or for Prescott. He is not run-oriented and if the Jaguars scoop him up then good riddance, goodbye and don't let the door hit your backside on the way out. On Prescott, he has shown he can beat cupcakes but he will get his chance starting next weekend.

Nothing Dak does that’s good will make the haters happy. If we won the Super Bowl with him they would say we won in spite of him. They’ll bring up some of the average QBs that won Super Bowls to try and make a point.

……all of us are willing to take that risk

I don’t set terms on my meter. I cannot readjust the thing. Emotions that I feel just happen, whether I would like them to or not. I have learned to decide how much time to dedicate to them.

I do not pay the team as much attention if they are terrible or even mediocre at football. I enjoy watching high level football unless I have a personal stake in a player or players involved. I stopped being so concerned about the wins and losses because I have no ability to alter the outcome.

Now I just cheer the team to win, and if they don’t oh well. Hoping for a SB win!

Yeah, a lot of tips and near tips the past couple of games.

The fact that you label/dismiss Dak dissenters as "haters" is risible.

When have I failed to give him credit when he gets it right or even if it goes south but wasn't his fault? I do not like him personally but I will give him credit for things he does right as the GM.
lol... is this a real question?

My brain is telling me they won't make the NFCC for a variety of reasons. My heart and spirit want them to. I hope to enjoy the ride whatever the results.
If they can put the smurf in a bird cage they can dream...but arrive in Lambeau without a running game and you are in a spot of real bother. Green Bay ran 34 times against the Cardinals so they will run heavy if they have to.

I'm pretty happy....relativly speaking.

I think that passing record is about as hollow as it can get when it took 5 TDs in one game vs backups in the last game to get it....but whatever. As I said, not his fault

1000 yards rushing in 17 games should be automatic for a supposed top end RB. Henry about had that in half the season, for example

But I get what the OP is saying. It sure could be far worse.

Call me nuts, but I think this team has a chance.

Really a homer post—-you do realize the Cowboys starters were going against Philly backups. It should of been a blow out. Plus the only reason DAK broke records and Zeke got 1000 yards was because of the extra game this year. Do it in the playoffs and then you will earn the respect of the fans. Otherwise, this Just another Homer post IMO.

......the negative comments keep coming......

Being a petulant, immature bomb thrower has been normalized in our society by the 24/7 news cycle and the media's unrelenting demand for clicks, views, subs, and likes.

People see that and parrot the bile because most have weak minds and low character. They believe what they are told. Being labeled "a homer" or "an apologist" among them is a black listing mark.

The only way to mitigate it is to challenge it head on. To cleanse your space of their self-serving vomit and over-dramatized rage.

That's really all you can do because their numbers are legion now. Create a safe space for you and yours. It can be done. Just takes work and vigilance.

Good Luck.

As a fan, I expect my team to win their division. I expect them to compete against the best teams in the league without beating themselves. If that's too much to ask, I don't know what to say.

To me this game was no different from the wash game, and then they lose to arizona the next game.
So fans are waiting to see how they do against the better playoff teams, excluding SF and PHIL, and even Ariz is a ? mark .

The only decent teams this year are the div winners, and even they dont seem consistently good.
GB has been the most consistent, and they have the best record, and I think Rodgers wants to end his career in GB with a SB win.
Possible more than in the past.

Nothing wrong with being skeptical about the cowboys and how they will do in playoffs against the better teams.

And this last game was really meaningless as to how they will do in playoffs.

How about play a good game and beat a quality team with a winning record ? These threads always come up after we dominate a weak, losing team (probably not a good idea to post it after the Cardinals game…lol).

Problem is, the 10 or so homers and haters are extremely vociferous and that hate leaks over to anyone trying to just have a conversation. Both sides are ridiculous and jump immediately to insults. Neither side is any better than the other.
