No. Strictly a lack of confidence in Dak against teams that we would struggle to run against.


Dak throwing is never a good recipe for success unless we are playing awful teams.

1- 3 against teams with legit QBs and 0-5 when we don’t rush for 100 yards.

Dak's legs may be the key to 49ers but he will have to pass to keep up with TB

It is a tough match up because first and foremost they are a physical team and not a finesse team. They are a good QB away from being great. Jimmy G has 3-5 bonehead passes a game. We have to win the turnover battle.
They are the type of team we will have trouble getting off the field becuase they are smart and lean into their running game .They do everything in the running game that we dont do. Go wide, traps, swing, full back, WR's block.
Let's not forget about Deebo Samuel, I can't even think of a comp to him in the league. I am not saying he is the best WR in the game, but he will be a handful on crossing routes and RAC. If you miss on tackling him he will take it to the house.
Better bring you lunch pail and put on your big boy pants. I think the key is to overwhelm Jimmy G with Parsons & company, and no three and outs. The Cowboys defense is great when they play 30 minutes or less. Less is more with them.

Agreed, Dak has to outperform Jimmy G. and we have to contain their run game. Jimmy is their weak link.

Yup if we can stop their running game we are good. They also have the advantage at HC by a mile. Shanahan over Big Mike every day of the week. Big Mike get that pastrami sandwich out of your mouth and have a plan. Have a plan, no messing around. This is your shot to shine, do the pep talk. This is why you play the game.
Bring in Jimmy Johnson as he will be there. This was his crowning moment in the 1992 season.
Let Jimmy just one more time say, put in in 3 inch headlines, we will be the Niners.

Why would it force Parsons to cover a lot? If Parsons pressures the QB no one has to cover for as long. Kittles changes nothing. They’ll use zone and Neal and disguise coverages.

You’re right about SF being a good running team though. I think it’ll be a good game.

I think this is the best matchup for Dallas though. A turnover prone QB is the best thing this defense can hope for.
