I predicted all 5 loses this year before they happened because I had the foresight to see matchup problems.
Believe me, I hope i am dead wrong every time.

The key will be the offense just scoring as much as they can. I do not feel we can have a poor offensive showing and depending on our defense and special teams to bail us out. This defense against playoff offenses has not been good. Tampa, NE, Raiders, Arizona all had their way with our defense overall. Even the Eagles were running the ball down our throats against our first team defense.

When you face a loose, well coached confident team in the WC round, a team like 49ers with little to lose, you have to take it as a serious challenge. Cowboys should be ready for a dogfight Sunday. I think they'll win at home.

It should be a close game. Similar teams really. Dallas has the edge in talent and is at home so I’ll pick them to win. A loss would not surprise me though.

For the Cowboys to win, they need to work on their run defense. They can't let SF rush for 200+ yards.

I don't disagree our offense needs to put some points on the board but our defense bailed us out a few times during that so called slump. Also, Micah was not available for the Shegal game nor was Diggs or Kearse so not sure that was our "first team defense".

They both lack consistency, but Dallas not only has the top offense in the league, but they have the top quarterback as well.

Let me rephrase. We had most of our front 7 in the game, which is where the run defense is based on. Diggs and Kearse don't factor as much into this. If they are the ones having to make the tackles, then the front 7 did not do their jobs. We will see if Parsons makes a huge difference against SF's run game.

Defense bailed us out against the poor teams, which will not be in the playoffs. They made absolutely no plays against the Raiders and Cardinals when we needed them, too. If one of those were a win, we could be the 2 seed.

The blueprint will be to score and make a few stops and making SF play from behind with Jimmy G having to make plays. He will absolutely give you some chances for turnovers when he has to do this.

In the playoffs, being able to stop the run is still quite important as to match ups...put everyone back on the carpet for this game!
