Fairly detailed resume?

LOL. His entire NFL resume other than a year in Miami and half a year in NY is with the Cowboys. He was always overvalued by Jerry Jones so it's hardly a great resume when 95% of it is just him being with the Cowboys under the protection of loyalist, Jerry Jones.

He was not a good coach. It's downright bizarre that you continue to delude yourself into thinking he was.

According to IDGIT he was more right then anyone on Garrett. :muttley:

Yet instead of sticking around and bragging about how right he was, he went into hiding.

The few times he comes out to talk is to defend Garrett. Talk about delusion?

Best move for Garrett is to go to his old Mentor Saban and see if he can get into one of his coaching rehab programs.

Garrett might actually be a decent college coach, it's a place where if he can recruit his "process" style could work.

Outside of that, I imagine he's done in the NFL. I'm honestly surprised that NY gave him the job.

Post the links or stop making things up.

I did support him against a bunch of truly stupid criticisms. I’ve also shared my own issues with him pretty specifically.

And let’s face it, if you were any judge of what looks ridiculous you’d never try to make an argument in any thread. Your entire post history reads like an application to clown school.

Yet who looks like the clown in the Garrett debate you or me?

Who went into hiding after Garrett got expunged?

That would be YOU and YOU.

Just look at this one thread. You are getting hammered. Nobody forgets your support of the horrid Garrett. As I said, it is legendary.

I know many of you hate him. The rest of us admired him as an OC but could see, eventually, that he had taken the team as far as he could and needed to be replaced.

However, I laugh at the NY Giants. Judge firing Garrett and since sounding like a spoiled child with the media, anything to deflect from the horrible job he has done over two seasons. Did that offense improve or even tread water without Garrett? He was getting all there was, not much, out of that crappy offense with no OL and a turnover machine at QB. Who’s to blame for how absolutely atrocious they were without Garrett, who was also coaching without Daniel Jones?

Watching how poorly the Eagles have drafted and the total mess top to bottom in Washington, who would have thought the Giants would be so far from competing with anyone in the NFC East and entire NFL this quickly? And the crazy thing is they are still trending down because nothing from coaching to OL to QB to WR to TE shows any sign of improving.

As one who hates the Eagles and WFT much more than the Giants, I only wish it was them.
Hes obviously not going to get a HC interview the off-season after being fired from an OC gig. That’s not realistic. If he’s still looking to work, it’s either as a college HC with a mid-tier program or as an OC for a young new defensive coach once the pro jobs start filling.

That said, that Giants offense didn’t score more than 10 points in 6 of the 7 games they played since he was fired. He wasn’t the issue in NY, just like he wasn’t the issue in Dallas. NY’s issue is both talent—especially at QB—and they have a guy who’s in over his head at HC who’s losing his team. They’re a mess.
Garrett was a massive failure.

Probably a nice fellow but not a good NFL coach.

He should be a college coach. He would prioritize academics and good behavior over winning.

I'm sorry but you were one of the most infamous Garrett defenders on the page. Maybe his biggest defender to the point where it was basically a meme.

Yes, detailed. He coached a lot of games in this league.

I know he’s unpopular with fans, but you’re generally a reasonable poster, Sydla. We can be honest about his record. He was a good, not great coach, who was a good fit in a tough situation. He bore the brunt of fan frustration after a decade of not getting over the hump.

But we both know that fans will turn on MM and Dak the way they turned on JG and Romo if we don’t win a Super Bowl. It has very little to do with their actual job performance.

There’s no greater buzzkill on the Monday of Wild Card Weekend than seeing a thread titled “Jason Garrett.”

See he still has you convinced that he is a coach of any kind.

He isn't. He doesn't belong in the NCAA any more than he did in the NFL. Just because the NCAA is a more junior league doesn't mean he has what it takes to be successful there. In many ways NCAA is even more difficult than the NFL. The lack of a salary cap so to speak means you have to be successful at recruiting and despite his skills as a conman, I think people know who he is at this point. No one major school is going to hire him and no player is going to be convinced to go to his school over another.

Oh, now you don't like Garrett, huh? lol.

Garrett is the one that developed Dak. Don't throw shade on Coach Garrett...
