DQ is on every short list so to keep adding story's is redundant until hes gone its non story, yes KM and DQ are on every list this year..yes we get oit..time top focus on the playoffs.
BTW if teams thought the DC team was soft and only successful because of the NFC Least why are our coaches a hot commodity. thought it was a mirage and illusion, and we are soft and wil be one and done..

I can't help but doubt Dan Quinn would seriously consider being the Bears' head coach.

Actually, I'm hoping that he realizes he's just better off remaining with the Cowboys.

Jerry & Stephen would be fools to let him to get away. They should pay him accordingly.

He's laid claim that he's perfectly happy where he is. Well, here's his chance to prove it!

To be perfectly honest, one can't help but to doubt that the Bears' HC job is that enticing.

Did anyone here really think Dan Quinn was coming here as the DC to stay the DC? Do you think Booger expected that or even wanted that? His hunger to return to HCing serves to make him a better DC. Not settling for DC.

Quinn got thrown from that bull in ATL, he will get upon another. And another, if necessary. Just like John Fox and Norv Turner.

How many coaches do you think there are that are content to go no further than coordinator? Jim Johnson and Monte Kiffin are the only ones I know. Even LeBeau had to try his hand at it.

Check the failure and turnover rate before you question coaching hires. Already got 5 HC openings and another 5 on the hot seat for next season. And 2 GM openings.

Everyone can bring up Atlanta all they want. But Quinn did go to a Superbowl and pretty much had it if not for that unbelievable comeback by Belicheat and Tom.

He has an above .500 HC record which not a lot of guys can even say that much. He was the HC in 1 game for us also and we won.

He's had success being Seattle's DC there throughout their championship run too.

He's 51 and got a lot of energy still.

You look at coaches like Zimmer and got to feel he's a good coach. Well he's out there and if you look at it, Dan Quinn's resume exceeds Zimmer's and a lot of other coaching candidates.

I don't think it was change of scenery I Just think he isn't a HC......a change of scenery never swayed Wade from what he was. A DC at heart.

i don't recall Wade's teams ever getting into a Super Bowl.

I wonder who Quinn has in mind as his OC. That will be a big factor for him when interviewing with teams who already have good defenses, but are terrible offensively. The Vikings and Broncos have just let go of defensive Head coaches. The Bears have a young QB to groom. The Dolphins are idiots and the Jags are a total; ****show.

Good points. But I think it’s easier to find a good DC than an OC. That certainly seems to be the case this year with the HCs that have been fired. But you’re absolutely right, the first priority is to find a good HC.

i think it's about interviewing a candidate, hearing him and convinced about his approach and plans on building a team.
Not just schemes and player personnel suggestions, but how he can get his players, coaches, and even front office to buy into what he is
planning, what kind of character he is, what kind of coach he is, what he sees fit to run a football team, how to adjust once the going gets tough. .

How he will he decide to delegate duties, authority and tasks to his coaching staff. How much to allow and trust his own asst's to handle tough challenges, and when
to intervene and influence his own suggestions on the fly.
Convince the interviewer that he can be a leader of men.

And the interviewer(s) have to have a knack to judge/make a decision of a coach regardless of how soft spoken or vocally loud he may be.
Just as a candidate coach has to deliver a message and plans enough to convince an interviewer that there's no question he is the man for the job.

Yeah but weren't the Falcons up by like 24 points? I just think Quinn's defense never lived up to what Dallas is now and what Seattle was when he was there.
You can thank Kyle Shanahan for that one. And I know it was Kyle because he did it again against the Chiefs in the SB again lol. REFUSED TO RUN THE CLOCK OUT.

I'm not that high on Quinn. I know we have a good defense this season, but Diggs and Parsons are having historically good seasons, when Dallas hasn't had turnovers then they are not hard to run or pass on, who knows we may continue this pace with turnovers into next but I'm not counting on it.
