there wont be a repeat of 2014, buy why do you think prices for tickets tripled as soon as it was announced the niners would be the opponent?
I don't know. Cowboy fans would have to pay that same coin just as much as the niner fans. But even with other large fanbases like the Packers, it was still mostly Cowboy fans like in 2016.

Yeah There will be some but theres no way they do what they did in LA. And everyone wants to show that picture but yeah that was a terrible team and not the playoffs. I will say this if the game was in SF, cowboys fans in cali would make that a home game. Plus la from sf is 5 hour drive and you can drive back after the game, very doable. Flying to dallas is a ton of money and youre gonna have to do hotel. We’ll be fine
People love to show that picture, but we flood their stadium every time we play.

You’re also right about the distance. This was sudden so it’s not like they had months to plan it.

Ticket prices are mostly set by the sites that sell the tickets. They have YEARS, like 15 or so years of data on tickets sells for a teams home games and their opponents. They know what tickets sell for with certain opponents. So as soon as niners were confirmed... bam, prices skyrocketed.
Sure Packer fans hav a large following, but do you think those living up in Wisconsin make anywhere close to what the avg worker in the Bay Area of California make? I just looked, it is 49k in Wi and 112k in Bay area, and I think that number is WAY too low IMO.

So yea, those in Ca are far more likely to have the coin to jump on a plane last minute and fly to Dallas for a playoff game.

They make make more $$ but their cost of living is 3x as expensive as well.

what do you consider a ton of money? Its all relative to what you make. Bay Area is one of the most expensive areas to live in. Those people can afford a flight and hotel to Dallas.

https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id...umber-49ers-fans-sofi-stadium-caught-us-guard

"It was a tough environment for us to communicate in really the whole second half," said Stafford, who completed 15 of 16 passes for 153 yards and two touchdowns in the first half, but saw a drop off in production in the second as he finished 21 of 32 for 238 yards with three touchdowns and two interceptions, amounting to his third consecutive game with multiple turnovers.
Jerry helped set that up, so it is much like here no surprise.

It is the new age nfl where you can have more fans for the road team at another teams stadium.

I know I live close to there. Im not saying there won’t be people there that make the trip but the niners fans I know that have more than enough money to afford it want to go but don’t want to put up with hassle of flights and ultimately covid exposure.
Also like someone said LA is a pretty fairweather town who even when we play there we over power their stadium. I think Youre more likely to see 49ers fans that already live in texas than an influx of Cali niners fans who made trip.

LA fan base is not great, all Ram games seem to have as many fans for the opposing team than there own. I even notice that with the Charger games.
I can attest to that. We went to the Chargers/Cowboys game this season and it was at least 80% Cowboys fans.

I think the Rams coach and Stafford don't realize the Rams were gone for a bit and possibly the old Rams fans went to being Niners fans.

It’s because everyone from LA is from somewhere else. And I’m serious

Don't hold your breath, they'll be here in force. Ticket holders know that with Prescot leading this team it's a no-win situation so why attend the game, sell the tickets to offset your regular season sitting costs.

FINALLY the mods have put an end to your trolling. Enjoy sitting on the bench buddy :laugh::lmao2::muttley:

How many people from the Bay Area already live in the area? There is a lot of tech in Dallas and the surrounding areas and would not be surprised to see a decent amount of 9ers fans at the game.

…..I would imagine a lot of those ex-Cali tech folks ended up moving to Austin…..easy place for them to transition to without having the usual assimilation issues

Yep. Most of their fans reside in St. Louis I’ll bet.

Jerry already said he would pay any amount of money for us to win another SB. I believe him. No doubt he loves money, so you're right there, but he already has enough of it to last 15 lifetimes. I'm not a betting man but if I was I would bet it all (not my soul though) he would rather have a stadium full of Cowboy fans than 49er fans. This is the playoffs. The game will be a sellout even if we was playing the Lions.
If Jerry cared that much about winning he would have stepped away from the football department at least a decade ago.

Ego and money is all that controls Jerry
