We lose a game: both assistants are bums.

We win a game: both are definitely gone.

The 'hot coordinator' may literally be the dumbest way to qualify a HC.

It really is....but one of these dumb organizations will continue this trend and then look stupid at the end.

If he go I wonder if the Cowboys would look at Mike Zimmer for a DC role?

Yeah but weren't the Falcons up by like 24 points? I just think Quinn's defense never lived up to what Dallas is now and what Seattle was when he was there.

and who were his impact game changers on defense in ATL ? Any Legion of Boom troopers.. or Micah Parsons in ATL ?
His biggest suitors were probably Grady Jarrett and Deion Jones in ATL ,..

I mean who's fault is that? He's a defensive coach....he has to take accountability for the personnel on that team because whatever he liked and saw in Keanu Neal and Kazee he liked them enough to bring them to Dallas with him. Takk McKinley was suppose to be the real deal. Off top I can only think of Grady Jarrett...I think Neal and Kazee had solid years before injuries....Deion Jones was good at one point...but don't you have to put the personnel squarely on his shoulders? I mean he's the Head coach who specializes in defense....

- A coach can only do so much with what he has at hand. Its a reason why you have coaches ...and then you have personnel and execs that are responsible for supplying the players that
are acquired to make the plays needed.

- It all works hand in hand. Brady nor Arians could not have succeeded in winning a SB in Tampa if the required player personnel was not on hand -and that's both sides of the ball.
You think Brady would have been able to pull that off if he had decided to go to Detroit ..?

- What players has ATL added to Jarrett and Deion, .what other impact and game changing players have they added on since ..?? That's a front office failing.

- The lead reason why we are in position for a SB, is player personnel and game changers that Wil McClay has added on, primarily and practically thru the NFL draft
and very rare trades( ala Cooper) ....

As long as he wins, Quinn would be embraced in Chicago the same way Cowher was in Pittsburgh.

Both Moore and Quinn are gone, they see the writing on the wall with Prescot. The 40 million dollar a year bum who isn't going to lead this team anywhere anytime soon. They'll both bail before this team hits rock bottom and they don't want their careers tried to this dude..................

So you believe as a head coach Quinn had no say in personnel he just showed up and coached them? I just don’t think that was the case.

A coach should have 'some 'say to some point and extent ..but not the complete say... not the final say,,

- You let the personnel guys know what kind of players you are needing for your scheme, and let them (personnel guys) decide what round,.. what value point, when to take this or that player
in what round.

- Much has been laid at the feet of Rod Marinelli with the Taco pick, because he was an in-the ear influence that convince McClay that Watt was not a scheme fit in his defense.
but it was Wil McClay that decided to reach for Taco in the first round,.. much less taking Charlton over TJ Watt- who may be the best defensive player in the entire NFL.

- McClay had Taco rated on their board as a 2nd rd pick, but was so paranoid that no valued DEs would be available at the bottom of the 2nd , that they panicked and decided to take Taco.

Ridiculous. NFL/Goodell should have rules no interviews untill season is completely over.

Just because non-playoff teams wish to move forward before season is over, doesn't give them the right to intervene with coaches/personnel who are in the playoffs.

So Quinn don’t get to pick his coordinators?

If they wanted to interview me for HC, I'd absolutely demand some say in who my coordinators are or I'd tell them to get bent. Quinn will get offers that give him more control and thus more control over his own fate rather than get Garretted.

I hope he stays and creates something lasting and special in Dallas.
