I want to run the ball vs the 49ers, but we can beat them by passing

This game will be like the Tampa game, and if we force the run we are dead in the water. If we establish the pass right away and the 9ers don't adjust keep at it. If they adjust, then we run. It's all pretty simple really and who cares if Dak throws for 500 and Zeke runs for 50 if we win. By the looks of it if we try to run Zeken and Tony early on and they do squat, good chance we are down big and will have no choice but to throw. At that stage, don't like Dak in that situation at all

Not great examples to support passing the ball all game. Both of those games were before Dak's injury when he was actually playing good. Furthermore, we lost to Tampa Bay, in spite of getting 4 turnovers.

We need to threaten a run game. When defenses know damn good and well we can't run it makes it very difficult to pass.

I just hope they lay it all out there. No need to hold back and no need to worry about getting injured. Zeke shouldn’t worry about his knee, Pollard about his foot, and Dak about his legs. If they get hurt they have all offseason to heal.

We abandoned the run game ealry vs Tampa, and they were horrible at the time against the pass due to injuries, etc. You are suggesting that Dak isn't playing well because of the injury, which we do not know. The argument has always been and should be to take what other teams are giving you, and when we do this we succeed. I think it's afe to say the 9ers will stack the box, and take away our run game as other teams have done pretty much all year long. They will let Dak beat them, which he will have to do.

When I think of the 49ers, I'm reminded of the 2019 Rams playoff game where McVay ran the ball down our throw with a lot of misdirection plays.

LOS ANGELES — C. J. Anderson rushed for 123 yards and two touchdowns while his teammate Todd Gurley rushed for 115 yards and another touchdown in the first playoff victory for the Los Angeles Rams in 14 years — a 30-22 win over the Dallas Cowboys in the N.F.C. ... -record 63rd postseason game.Jan 13, 2019
yet that team of players is no longer here nor are the coaches and this is at home..far different situation..i can be reminded of many things if it fits narrative yet has no significance on this game.

The Rams only had 6 yards rushing, vs the Whiners, in the 1st half, but moved the ball passing and scored 17 points. The Tennessee Titans struggled to run the ball, vs the Whiners, and still beat them with 1 healthy receiver.

We moved the ball up and down the field mostly passing the ball vs an excellent NE defense. Vs a healthy and talented Tampa Bay defense, we didn’t even try to run the ball, and moved the ball up and down the field with the pass. Offense definitely did enough to win that game!

My point: Though I would really like to be able to run the ball down SF’s throat. That may not happen with our run blocking vs their run defense. Moore would need to come up with some new, and improved, run schemes to help us run the ball. That is a possibility!

More likely though is for us to be able to pass the ball successfully vs the Niners D. The Niners D, in general, likes to play zone, and rush the passer with 4 lineman. Sometimes, of course they blitz. Their D line is excellent vs the run, but just good vs the pass. We need to take advantage of this and pass the ball a lot! Like Tennessee we might need to keep in extra blockers to slow down their pass rush. Tennessee was very successful keeping in extra blockers to give Tannehill extra time to pass the ball.

We may struggle to run the ball vs the Whiners, but if the O line gives Dak a clean pocket, with the help of Moore’s blocking schemes( Max protect and just send out 3 receivers at times ), we have the potential to move the ball consistently through the air and score a lot of points( 30 or more ).

There are many ways to win a football game. This may be the way for our offense.
It's not that we have no running game, Moore just needs to be more disciplined and creative.
Just look at how the opponent runs the ball, Deebo has 365yds and 8TDs rushing the ball this year as a WR.

Blue.....you missed the whole point (lol). As if we don't know most players and/or coaches are no longer with the team. All I was saying was we could see a similar game plan, no more, no less.

and a GP for and old team not even the 9ers ..doesn't matter.,.btw we only lost by 8 on the road to that team as bad as we played, well we never go rh offense going once the defense held the score at 8 for at least from memory seemed like 20mins.

cant have 20min plus gametime where our offense punts 4 times in row.,. Plenty of blame to go around. this is better defense than that one and beter DC and we are at home,,

If Dallas can get a lead of 10 or more things will go well. We can not play from behind.

With their front, it will be tough to run on them.
The Rams have a good D front too. The Niners ran on them because they have well designed running plays. If Moore schemes up some good run plays we should be able to run the ball okay with our O line.

Agree. We have to take what the D gives us. This means we need to be able to run vs a light box!

Yep…..Bosa will be all up in Dak’s face if that happens
Bosa is very good. We may need to keep extra guys in, see Tennessee. It worked very well for them. The Niners D was getting extremely tired rushing the passer vs Tennessee. They often had 7 blockers to slow down the Niner rush. Tennessee’s big receiver, consistently made plays when they max protected.

Worked out pretty well vs NE!!!!

I'm assuming they were at least halfway concerned about out run game and playing honest. Don't know for sure, but we actually did start running the ball effectively that game. I only remember because I was yelling to just pass it cause we aren't gonna do nothing on the ground.

Have to work in the run but big plays in the passing game and stopping Samuel is the key to victory. I hope to see Pollard bust a couple and Zeke battering guys to close the game out. Let’s Go!!!!!

It's a Kellen Moore offense...they will try to win the game throwing the ball or go home trying!

I really think the playoffs is where we have to bring back some of the read option rpo stuff with dak. It’s another element and very tough for a defense to stop
