I didnt know you can just sign free agents after the season is over, for the playoffs. Is this gonna start a new trend? Players who dont need the big bucks and dont want to go through a season just play in the playoffs? That shouldnt be allowed

He was terrible his last few years with the ravens.
I think your confusing his final year at LA with his play at the Ravens.

He played 3 years with the Ravens and made pro bowl all 3 years and NFL top 100 twice. He was pretty solid with the Ravens (10 picks, over 200 tackles, decent PFF score which is impressive considering they score secondary players very low).

He was a monster his first two years, but became a liability towards the end of his 3rd. Local radio torched him towards the end. But you’re right, confusing him with the other safeties Baltimore had.

LOL, Waddle is not in football shape, no one is afraid of an old player that can't accelerate smoothly. This is the Rams grasping for straws. They would have a better chance of making a playoff run by signing Brees and releasing Stafford.

I just don't see a team defeating Dallas.
Go Dallas!!!

Oh, you know what kind of shape he is in? Fascinating. Player was always know as an extremely hard worker but yeah, let's assume he isn't in shape. I'm sure a team like the Rams wouldn't work him out or anything.

..exactly my thinking. Isn't Weddle like mid 30's ? NFL is based on speed. Getting to open field, whether catching, tackling or running. Should be interesting to see. Cards big test.
37 is what I heard

He can probably play this week, but it's next week were there could be a problem. You can't handle that kind of hitting and get over it in a week when not in football shape.

Oh, so you know what kind of team the Rams are? Team was always known as one to take on guys that had more name value but yeah, let's assume they'll do everything well. I'm sure a poster like you wouldn't post unreasonable stuff or anything.

These LA teams are just desperate. The Lakers signed every “has been” name available and the Rams do the same thing.

And its going to bite them both in the *** soon. Cant wait for the Rams to lose lol

Didn’t know this, but the Rams owner is not only a billionaire, he’s married to Ann Walton, meaning another billionaire. She’s one of the Wal-mart heiresses.

Plus, the NFL has a lot vested in the Rams and that 5 billion dollar stadium. Jerry Jones was actually one of the biggest factors to get the team in LA.

https://www.businessinsider.com/jerry-jones-played-key-role-in-rams-relocation-2016-2

This is pretty wild too. St. Louis is suing and the suit includes Jerry Jones.

The lawsuit alleges that Jones and Kroenke conspired to get the Rams to L.A. and have other owners across the league approve the move. The two owners had conversations about site plans for Inglewood, Calif. -- where the Rams’ and Los Angeles Chargers’ joint stadium, SoFi Stadium, is located -- as far back as 2013, according to allegations in the lawsuit.

SoFi Stadium’s 20-year naming rights deal was negotiated by Legends, a company owned by Jones. The Cowboys owner was in the building for the first live event at the building, a season-opening Sunday Night Football matchup between the Cowboys and Rams on Sept. 13, 2020, and was there less than three weeks ago for the Cowboys’ Week 2 win over the Chargers.

Check this out too. Jerry Jones is making money off other stadiums, which include at least three other teams in the playoffs, including the LA Rams.

But Jones is also marketing and selling the stadium as well doing the concessions through Legends, just as he is with San Francisco 49ers and Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta and the Oakland Raiders’ prospective new stadium in Las Vegas.

The Cowboys seemingly haven’t gotten an opportunity to host a Super Bowl at AT&T Stadium in Arlington since the weather and seat disaster in 2009.

And no one cares that they are essentially helping Jones make even more money to put back into the Cowboys.

“It’s great to help Jerry make money,” Demoff said. “You want to hire the best. They are the best. If that ends up going to the Cowboys, as long they are not trying to spend it on (Rams all-pro defensive tackle) Aaron Donald, we are fine.”

Considering the Cowboys don’t spend on outside free agents, there are no worries there.

But it might go toward Jones buying a big boat.

This last part is pretty wild if you think about it. Maybe it’s one of the reasons that Dallas doesn’t do free agency that much.
