I have a bad feeling this will be one of those games where we get down early then have to try to fight our way back, only to come up short.
Agreed....since we moved to The Dump (South), I can usually tell 7-8 minutes into the game if we are gonna win or not...not sure why, but I think I'm batting around 95%....knew the Raiders and Cards games were losses after their first score.

No, I never seen that look on him. He always has a confident look. And he will again as he has a great game and Dallas wins.
...I think Dak has seen enough D schemes to figure things out quick. This is where rare talent has to be processed. Will see.

I got my money on Dak.

I am on the negative side. I want them to win and make it at least as far as the NFC Championship game. But I need to see the offense play well against a good defense first. Since Dak came back from his calf injury the offense has been really inconsistent. Up one game down the next. Beating up on the Eagles backups and practice squad did not impress me. Let me see the OL make a nice pocket for Dak against a good DL.

Cowboys will eventually do Cowboys things.
Cowboys cant stop the run and that's exactly what the 49ers excel at.
We will be grounded and pounded to death.
And the 49er probably will be able to shut our running game down. Dak isn't passing his way to a Super Bowl championship.
Sounds like you're drinking too much RED kool-aid my friend.. You've mentioned what the Cowboys CAN'T do and what the 49ers CAN do. Your opinions are very short sighted because you're only giving HALF of the perspective here. What about the things that the Cowboys excel at? Our passing attack presents a BIG problem for the 49ers below average secondary, and our DEFENSE is pretty damn good too.. The 49ers are afraid to put the game in Jimmy G. hands which is why they run the ball so much, but if the Cowboys can slow down their run game it will force Jimmy G. to throw the ball more often. That will be good news for the Cowboys AGGRESSIVE and OPPORTUNISTIC defense.. Jimmy G. will turn over the ball, the Cowboys will be ready to take advantage of it.

What are your thoughts on whether or not the Dallas Cowboys will defeat the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Wildcard Round?

Usually when the line seems out of whack, it’s telling you something. Indeed, 3 points seems way low, I see a Cowboys blowout. That of course means that I should be betting the Niners.

But I’m not seeing it. OK, I get it, they’ve been on a roll lately and they’re a well coached team who can run the ball and play defense, a good playoff formula.

But what I see is:

1. The worst quarterback in the playoffs
2. Niners haven’t won a single game this year when Jimmy G turns the ball over
3. Therefore, they’re a one dimensional offense; stack the box against the run and make JG beat you. He can’t.

Also:

1. Cowboys are playing at home
2. Cowboys have an extra day of rest
3. Cowboys didnt have to exert much in that game, while the Niners played a physical game that we r r into OT
4. That game was their Super Bowl

I mean, could I paint a scenario where the 49ers win? Yeah sure. Zeurlein misses two key field goals, we get a touchdown called back on a bogus holding call, Jimmy G plays a perfect game and Dak throws a bad INT.

But if these teams lined up 10 times, I think Dallas wins 8 out of 10.

We should win. But I don't think we will.

I just don't know with this team. I keep thinking of the Denver game. An inferior team physically whooped us, had an excellent game plan, and played more disciplined.

I feel like this team ate the cheese too quickly this year, and I haven't seen them respond well to being hit really hard

I just know that if we lose, I better not hear Dak tell us "I need to get better, and I will get better".....dude says the SAME EXACT THING after EVERY loss....and if this guy continues to be inaccurate and scared to make the big throws, we will lose....accuracy can not suddenly be taught, and neither can the intellect to read defenses....so in reference to getting better at those to things, its a lie....so I'm gonna puke if we hear the same S....because its a impossibility, and I won't be buying it.

Cowboys at their best is better than Niners at their best.

It's not even close.

Niners only hope is to keep it close, and hope is a poor strategy.

I feel really good about it. I have Dallas winning 34 to 24...Dak has to play great as do the Oline. Defense has to just play physical and not give up the big one. But my BIGGEST concern is what uniform we play in. They wear those clown white pants and star jerseys. Just put a BIG L on the jerseys before the game. Cause it's a wrap for the NINERS. Wear regular home white and play like those jersey's usually have in BIG games.
LET'S GO COWBOYS!!!!!!!!

Pretty much how I see it! Except I see Garapolo dealing with the pressure better than Dak.

We must dominate in the trenches--offensively and defensively, in order to win.

Flag of the Battle of Gonzales, which marked the first military fight of the Texas Revolution in 1835.

The famous flag from that Gonzales clash has become a hallmark of Texas pride, with its "Come And Take It" message one of Texas' most-defining. It is the first flag used in the Texas Revolution and close to 200 years later it shows no signs of going away.
oh never saw it before, I guess thats a cannon with no base to it

Yes

The team with the better QB wins NFL playoff games about 75% of the time. Add that to the fact that 49ers supposed huge advantage in this game, their running game, is both overstated based on reputation and not a strong predictor of outcome. Over the last 15 years, how well a team runs the ball (using any rushing metric you’d like) has very little statistical correlation with winning. It doesn’t matter how well you run the ball, if the other team has the better QB and throws the ball more efficiently and explosively than you do you’ll lose almost every time.

If normal Dak and normal Jimmy G both show up, historical stats show Dallas has a massive advantage.

If we throw the ball better than SF (based on adjusted efficiency and explosivity) statistical historical trends suggest they could run for 200 yards and still lose almost every time.

And before you suggest it, no, running the ball doesn’t help you throw it better. This has been thoroughly debunked and the statistics are clear, passing efficiency is almost entirely independent of rushing success in the NFL.
