What Saturdays games taught us moving forward

Saturday's games taught us that the Bengals were better than the Raiders yesterday and Buffalo are way better than the Pats. And if you watched these teams play all year then you knew that before yesterday. And it has nothing to do with today's game.

Dak and the Boys are in “prove it mode” and the media has given them zero respect. Never seen a division winner with the #1 offense and #7 D get so little respect.

Dallas is AWFULLY quiet this week while SF and the media have been chirping away. Got a feeling the 9ers are about to walk into a nasty buzzsaw lol

Hmmm. You make a compelling point. I can see you really went to school on yesterday's games. (But did you really need them to teach you how to post one of the most tired memes on the internet?)

And you ate the cheese.

What does this mean if we have to travel to Green Bay?
Or any AFC team travels to KC.

Let's just everyone stop playing and put the Packers and KC in the superbowl now.

This thread is a reach. This is the ultimate team sport and one where momentum and energy have a lot to do with winning.

There is no formula to predict how this plays out.

I leaned what I already knew. The great Billy boy isn't as important as a great qb.

Hes just another guy without boy wonder taking snaps.

A few weeks ago the Pats had home field advantage throughout and yesterday they looked like Georgia could beat them. Glad BB got whooped…his system will be a miserable failure without a Brady…

I do believe Burrow to be better than Carr. But he also has a much better supporting cast on offense.
I was surprised the Bengals held on for the win. I don’t think they have any chance going forward in these playoffs. Weak up the middle now with just 2 healthy DTs, and they had absolutely zero pass rush as a result.

The surprise to me wasn’t that Buffalo won, but that they hung 47 on NE. BB has always been able to identify an opponent’s strength and take it away defensively. But Allen was simply in a zone yesterday. I won’t say the NE defense quit, but after Buffalo was up 3 scores, you could see from some of their body language they knew it was over.

Now I am not going to be as stupid as those that downgrade how great a coach BB was, we have seen that idiocy already here, but it might be time to wonder if he has burned out. All coaches do sooner or later.

Coaches need players. It starts with the QB. Too many fans think that just because the Patriots selected Matt Jones he was/is a Tom Brady. Maybe he ends up bring so, but the fact that BB played a game and had his QB pass a whopping 3 times ought to say something.

I’ve said it numerous times over the years. All dynasties come to an end. TB leaving broke up the magic of the BB/TB combo and NE’s is over. NE fans will be lamenting their dynasty days and remembering when in ten years from now. They’ll be saying “we’re the NE Patriots, we should be playing for SBs” just like Dallas fans.
