I think I’m done. It’s just too much, year in and year out. There’s no fun in it anymore. I can’t become a fan of another team, but this team YEAR AFTER YEAR fails. It’s tiring. It’s just not worth it. Constant failure. Doesn’t matter if you believe it’s the refs, ownership, coaching, players, whatever. Just consistent, constant failure. It’s like being a fan of the Lions. Except worse because the team hypes up our expectations during the regular season (which we shouldn’t fall for anymore).

Completely understandable. They don't deserve the fan base they have. Easier said than done..

You know, at one point in the 3rd quarter...heck, the 2nd quarter, I was thinking that at least we'll see this coming...that at least the season won't end in typical heartbreaking catastrophic fashion. And then we do juuuust enough to get us all sweaty and clammy and sick to our stomachs, with visions of a miraculous, joyous TD to win a playoff game and send us all on a week-long high. And I fell for it....decades running.

It's tough being a Cowboy fan.
I live in the past.

Well guys I have been on this forum as a poster for awhile now and lurked before that. I enjoyed talking with you guys but I am done with the Boys and more importantly done with the NFL. Take care and good health to all but I'm done. God Bless
Ahhh come April draft the sirens will start singing and you slowly get sucked in. Just like I do every year

Yup. I feel the same way. Life is too short to waste on a team that really sees us fans as dollar signs and shows no real commitment to sustained success…

Sorry to see you go. Stick with basketball and baseball….and the Winter Olympics are just around the corner….or the USFL. Plenty of other sports to follow.

Im thinking of taking next season off. Just tired of the same story.
I really believe next year will be brutal. We have a first place schedule and probably a lot of changes. But at least those weak NFC East teams are on the schedule. It’s so tough to realize all the time you’ve invested in this team ends the same way…every single year.

The challenge at the end of every season and especially after a playoff loss is to not say something stupid.
Yet here we are, with “fans” jumping ship. Can’t say I blame them, and can’t say we’ll miss them…but they’ll be back, some under a different name.

My 50th year anniversary was this past thanksgiving
My favorite teams won
5 championships in 70s
5 in the 80s
5 in the 90s
0 in the 2000s
0 in the tens

I am finally at a place where a playoff loss doesnt ruin my week anymore, nor day or night. When it was over I just popped in a bluray and forgot about it. I dont expect to see any more championships from any of my teams.
I am at peace. If any of my teams ever win again it will be fun and satisfying to experience. But I am not owed it. Ill be watching next year yet again.

I feel exactly the same way. The main problem is I don't think it gets any better until the Jones family is no longer the ownership. I'll be dead dead before all of them

We deserved 90% of the penalties we received.
Officiating is really bad but when I watch a Dallas game I can't help but think somehow, someway Goodell has it out for Jerry

I was going to quit for the season at least but I think I want to watch some of the playoff games just to see what real teams with real coaches and real QBs look like.

Perhaps, but not today. Completely poorly coached and prepared team.

Refs in all sports makes sports hard to watch anymore. I'm not done with football. I love football. I'll be done with Dallas but not football. College and pro. Jerry just keeps selling the koolaide to the fan base and we greedily drink it down every year. Well. Count me out, Jerry. I know you and the whole front office on down are nothing but frauds. You won't get another penny from me but I know you have billions of sucker koolaide drinking fans to replace me. So screw off,Jerry.
