Lol. Yeah. It would have been even worse. If the ref didn't bump into dak, there would still have only been one second when we snapped it.

Instead of not getting the last play off, we would have and Dak was still spiking it.

I don't see how the ref was not down there quicker. They know what the scenario is with no timeouts and trying to spike the ball. How can the cowboys get in formation and ready to snap without the ref being down there quicker.

I am guessing there are no requirements, and i did not see any different viewpoints, but it seems like refs are usually quicker in this scenario

The league will send an apology sometime in July, acknowledging they weren't as quick as they'd like to be on these type of plays and make a rule adjustment or add an additional umpire that benefits some other team based on us having to always find a way to lose due to some obscure sequence of football.

I saw the play from the viewpoint of the whole field. On 2nd thought, I am glad the ref got to watch the play to completion like a fan, before making his 40 yard dash to do his job.

It is the cowboys fault for not drafting ref's with faster 40 times.

I think we lost it when dak had all day on first and then from midfield with 3 minutes and dak just took a sack. Like. You’re at midfield . Teams are giving you underneath stuff.

Way too much emphasis on that last play, even as dumb as it was. They still had only a microscopic chance to win by that point. The game was lost way earlier.

But why is it that none of the refs converged on the play to spot that ball in a timely matter? Dak had no ref to hand the ball to, that guy was still at the 50 when the play was over.
