…..I guess he was smart enough to hire Jimmy Johnson. I’ll give him that
It’s not that he isn’t smart enough to hire someone that can win. His problem is he won’t stay out of the way. The reason Jimmy was successfully is because Jerry was in debt to his eyeballs just to buy the team and his focus was making money and getting out of debt. Once he figured that out he started meddling and ruined his relationship with Jimmy. We haven’t been the same since.

Both are good enough to win with help but not good enough to carry a team or overcome bad coaching in the playoffs.

It would've been more of the same. Romo is a better passer but would make mistakes at the worst moments. That said, I think Romo could've done more when our offensive line was dominant in 2016. That period could have been Romo's Favre moment in getting that championship...

Give me Romo every time over Dak. At a minimum, I wouldn't be watching check down central, dink and dunk ball all game.

I don't know what happened, but this offense has been a snooze fest after the Denver game. Did defenses figure it out? Did dak suffer some sort of injury?

This. Romo was trash, so is Dak. We need a high first round QB with arm talent, mental talent, accuracy, pedigree, tall and can move. Let's stop scraping the bottom of the barrel for our QBs, it's too important.

Geez sounds like you would have really liked Carson Wentz when he was drafted. Looks at the first round QB's this year. None of them did a thing except for the NE QB who was protected for 3/4 of the season. When he had to make plays on his own he caved. PS. There is no one coming out in the draft this year that even has the talent of last years QB who came out. Dak is what we have for better or sadly for worse.

It's the best route to try and find a winner. I know it's not a guarantee, but 4th rounder or an undrafted guy is like a once in a lifetime hit, and I don't have the rest of my life to find that guy.

Aikman is the gold standard. Don't understand the love affair with Romo. He's didn't win anything either.

It’s been the past two QB’s and three HC’s now. It’s always the same. It’s Jerry
He runs this franchise like it’s a mom-and-pop corner store. Does anyone really think his kids and grandkids are the best possible choices for the jobs they hold? In this competitive field?

Not reading the replies but yea I agree

Once it was 13-0, I knew we were done. Up until that huge Falcons comeback in 2020, Dak had never came back from a deficit of over 3 points at halftime. Hes a front runner

Romo brought us back from down 14-0 in the Lions playoff game against the #2 ranked defense that year.

This defense can generate turnovers to make up for the higher INT rate. tHowever this team cannot play behind 7+ points.

Next year will be the same 10-7 1st round exit.
Yeah because he was special,

Romo was an infinitely and etter QB than Dak, but he wasn't a championship caliber QB either
He was good enough to win a SB. I mean when you see people like Flacco and Dilfer with rings; or Eli Manning for example. then he was GOOD enough.

Look at Brees; only one ring. It takes so much to put it all together I have come to the conclusion that luck has a lot more to do with it then I ever thought it was.

Which makes what BB and Brady did overall so incredible. Lets face it; for the first couple of SBs Brady was pretty much of a bus driver while it was the Pats D that won. After that it was more Brady then any other single factor.
