Dallas has for the last few years had a penchant to be losing then "turning it on in the 4th qtr" to "only fall short".

Should be a minority occurrence. Not the rule

Go Cowboys!

We're basically talking about "garbage time" comebacks because too many things have to go right to complete the comeback. And, they rarely do.

Not sure what all the doom and gloom is about.
The 49ers are just better. The record difference being that the Cowboys played in the NFCE while the Niners played real opponents.
Fully expected this team to fold after going down 13-0 and get blown out like the Patriots or Eagles.
However, this team showed resilience against a superior opponent. The game came down to the final play all you can ask for.
Anybody who thought this team was going on a deep playoff run was drinking that homer kool aid. However, going toe to toe with a SB caliber team was encouraging

I really don't agree, but it doesn't matter. The team's Achilles heel is it's own culture of stardom and self-destructive nature. So we may never be lucky enough to have a humble, hungry football team that doesn't make excuses for itself- even if some are warranted.

Let's break this down:
6 nfc east games.
2 were against the playoff eagles.
So 4 easier games makes our record that inflated?
All divisions have weak teams.
How would you like to play the lions bears and Vikes?

Please, the 9ers are average at best and will get killed by GB or TB with or without Bosa

I don't think SF is clearly a better team. Pretty even, and I think Dallas is probably a little better actually. I think coaching, especially on the offensive side, wasn't up to par. A little better QB play wouldnt hurt either..

The doom and gloom is that their best defensive players got injured during the game, one of them for the entire second half.

Kittle had 1 catch, Garoppolo threw for like 160 yards, no touchdowns and 1 interception and we still lost the game.

That’s the doom and gloom!

I actually think SF goes to the SB if Bosa is back

LMAO San Fran is not that good. Kyle makes them look better than they are. Kudos to him. Their secondary is pretty bad. Their LBs are kind of small. Dallas just doesn't have the OC or play designs (or maybe even the QB) to take advantage of it. But watch when San Fran plays next week, their defense won't look nearly as effective against a QB and OC who knows how to beat a team playing zone 80% of the game.

The Cowboys should have easily beat the Niners are home, but I'm convinced McCarthy and Moore don't know how to do it. They simply don't win enough chess matches against better teams. The Cowboys often fall behind early because the offense is so vanilla and ineffective early. It's just pitiful. But really, this goes back to Garrett as well...as it was the same under Garrett. Lots of slow starts, for Romo and Dak both...which is why Romo's highlight reels are often 4th quarter comebacks after the offense stinks it up for a half. And many of Romo's plays were off schedule, needing him to escape the pocket to make the big play. Very few plays on schedule. Very few people open because of the play design, only after the play breaks down. That's a sure sign of bad offensive design to me.

So, Garrett, Moore, doesn't matter. Moore's is basically Garrett 2.0. Can't win a big game with these lackluster offensive game plans and play designs.

Nevertheless, no way do I see SF going to the Superbowl. They are NOT THAT GOOD. We're just worse, especially when you factor in the coaching staff. 15 penalties????? And half were pre-snap. Come on, man! That's just a bad culture, bad coaching. That kind of lack of discipline starts at the top...

It's not who is better.

It's who executed their game plan and played better that day, simple.

Don't look forward, don't look back, focus on the team in front of you.

Just ask the Colts.

The real problem is the Cowboys don't belong in the NFC East. They belong in the NFC South. By being in the NFC East, we are doomed into a division of mediocrity until oblivion. And, then we carry that mediocrity into games outside our division. Who put the Cowboys in the NFC East? I don't get it!

There was no NFC South. We have too much history with the NFC East,

SF was the 3rd best team in their division. We swept our division and we were the home team. Any attempt to feel pride in a moral victory is embarrassing. Just take the L like a man and move on.

The fact this team was able to hang in there against this "SB caliber team" tells me how bad the 49ers really are. they had many chances to close the game out and botched it too. they will get stomped in the NFCDG

Right...this was more the Cowboys doing their impersonation of a possum. Playing dead for most of the game. The 49ers gave Dallas chances to win even with Dallas playing sloppy and stupid. And Dallas was so bad, they couldn't take advantage. Expect the 49ers and Garrapollo to get whipped next week in GB.
