Stockholm Syndrome.
The team accomplished some things that have never been done, some things that haven’t been done in decades, and picked up a rookie that is an absolute star and could one day end up in Canton.
There are things that can be improved upon, but we don’t have extremely major free agents (other than Gregory, Schultz, Gallup, and LVE) which can all be replaced.
As terrible as it feels to lose in the first round after a 12-5 season and a season that we obliterated several teams (mostly in our division), I feel good about the Cowboys future. It almost has that 1991 feeling except we didn’t get blown out by the Lions 38-6 after an 11-5 season.
Next year will be McCarthy’s 3rd season as head coach, it’s likely Kellen Moore and Dan Quinn will get a pay raise and stay & I believe the big change will take place in the backfield. Zeke is no longer feared and teams can play coverage with just 4 or 5 in the box when there was a time they had to have at least 7 or 8 in the box or he’d just destroy you. His contract will allow for the cowboys to cut ties with him at the end of next year but he’ll definitely be here for the 2022 season, but Pollard is a better back -and- perhaps we should consider spending a 2nd or 3rd round pick to get an inexpensive RB (and perhaps better running back) which will allow for Zeke’s dead money next year (I believe it’s around $6m).
The front office may need to make some changes with the coaching staff if Quinn and/ or Moore get hired as a head coach. Not sure who would be an upgrade over those two coordinators but I’m sure everyone’s stock has dropped when it comes to Moore.
Nevertheless, it was a fun season and unfortunately it’s over… but next year we’re going to the Super Bowl lol

I guess ones perspective can be just living in the moment and not seeing beyond the regular season
if that’s ok for some, I certainly don’t want to crap in anybody's Wheaties….
