Honestly, this thread isn’t Mega enough.

They paid him top five money and surrounded him with talent, and he hasn’t been good.

Hate is a pretty insane word to say about a football player you’ve never met in your life. We’ve all cried when losing a game, it sucks. Been this way for 25 years. We last won when I was 7.

But to say you “hate” a man who plays a game? Because as much as we are diehards, and as much as we want to win… it’s a game. I yell and scream at the TV, and I get sucked in as much as anyone, but at the end of the day it’s a football game.

They sure haven’t surrounded him with a good offensive line or a run game. I think people are vastly overestimating the “talent” on this team.

Yes they have

That oline is top 5 in the league….its justthat league has few dominant lines.
The run game is adequate but not 2016 level,obviously.

Have they said anything about Dak’s shoulder? It seems like a 20 yard pass is a bomb for him. Wouldn’t throw a Hail Mary at the end of the first half during the season. Ran a QB sneak to get the ball closer to the end zone and failed to get another play off instead of throwing deep. Is his arm still hurt or are we that stupid, or both?

The line isn’t good at this point, but I meant over the course of 5 years of him starting.

The problem is mostly Jerry. Jerry drafted a 4th round QB trying to get 1st round results. It's like shopping at the Dollar Tree for a nice pair of glasses, but when they break, we're upset. Dak is what Dak is, a late 4th round average to below average overall QB. Good leader, below average QB. If you want 1st class talent at QB which we all should want, we need to burn bridges to move up and get one. Otherwise, we may go another 26 years, and I'll be dead by then.

Definitely look for a QB. Dak is making 40 some million a year. The next 3 years we will ne cap strapped because of his salary. Dak can only produce at a high level if the level of talent around him.is high

Sorry I hit the post button by mistake. But Dak only produces when the talent level around him is high. With his salary the talent around him will erode. It would be very wise for the Cowboys to draft a QB or start looking for a QB in FA. Cuz with Dak's salary and lack of of production without an all star RB and offensive line then he is a below average QB or back up material. I see him going the way of Flacco. Flacco's salary eroded the talent on the Ravens and a couple years later he's a backup or out of the league. Dak is Flacco. Average to above average with elite supporting cast. Below average or back up with a talent deprived team. Dak and his contract demands may put him out of the league so I hope he saves his money cuz he's not getting another payday. JMO

Dak has 2 to 3 more years on his deal so we need to get some things ironed out right now. I think it's time to draft a QB high in the draft and by year 3, Dak will be gone and the New QB will be the face of the franchise. But Jerry will still try to put a Band-Aid on it and it just won't work. Stop fooling around and do this Jerry.

Completely agree with you. Either draft a QB high this year or next year. At the very least draft a QB in Dak's final year under contract. He's regressing and we need to be preventative and not reactionary with this.
