I am apologizing to Pappy, Willie, Rison, Catch, Atlanta, Mountaineer, Khalidi, and the rest of the Dak haters. Dak had the ball at midfield at the two minute warning 1st down, three timeouts. A top 12 quarterback wins that game. San Francisco was also down 3 of their top defensive players. Shoot, Kirk Cousins wins that game.

NP man in the end we all rise and fall together!

Colts had the guy that drafted Wentz so it was the right scenario. Garrett is out of a job, so Dak doesn't have that kind of safety net. Nobody is trading for an over paid QB. Maybe Denver if they think they can get their defense to carry them.
You just need one. I'm not saying it's likely, but you just need one.

The tape don't lie, Dak doesn't do many things well as a QB.

No pocket awareness
Poor accuracy
Can't read defenses
Late release/poor route anticipation

How did the front office come into the conclusion that Dak merited a 40M per season contract with so many red flags?

Because he HAS demonstrated those things. Even for the first half of the year. He has all the ability and intelligence and demonstrated this many times over the years. But he was like a different QB after the Den game, and was everything you described above It's perplexing

Agree 100%. The only caveat for me is the Eagles said the same thing about Wentz, and somehow they got rid of him AND got a first round pick pack in the bargain. You just need to find one team willing to take him.
No trade clause. The fans would need to run him out of town, or the organization would have to turn on him similar to Wentz in Philly. Not going to happen. Dak ain’t leaving this Gravy Train. Choo! Choo!

We have a $40m QB that instills 0 fear in opposing defenses.

Wow

666 is a done deal now he got his 97 million guaranteed and is pretty much done as no way he survives another season out there.
Who the heck can save the next 2-3 years for us that is the question which I fear there is no answer for.......

Dak and his agent really had Jerry by the balls. His demand caught Jerry by surprise.

It’ll be years before the cowboys recover. Overpaid salaries of dak and Zeke. Literally the only thing Zeke is good for his pass blocking. He looks like the slowest most lethargic player on the field. Like a chubby high school football player among NFL players. He’s done. All that money went to his head and he doesn’t care. Dak? At least I think he cares, but he’s never had the raw “born with it” talent. His processing of the developing play, i.e.mental aspect of the game is too slow and he’s indecisive. He will always be this way. And all the scouting reports going way back pointed the stuff out.

Jerry has to stop screwing around with this position like he's done for 20 something years. It's the most important position on the team and he's tried to get

1. Past their prime QBs (Drew Bledsoe, Kosar, Ryan leaf)
2. Ex Baseball players (Drew Henson and Hutchinson)
3. Following the trend (Randall Cunningham, Rodney Pete)
4. Outsmart the football world by drafting Quincy Carter
5. Outsmart the world with an undrafted Tony Romo
6. Outsmart the world again by drafting a 4th rounder Dak Prescott

His QB drafting and free agent IQ is extremely low, and again, this is by far the most important position on the team.

I apologize to those guys too. I had over 300 people on ignore and now no one's on ignore. You guys were right about this scrub of a QB, F him, it's time to move on.

Don't sit there and act like all this is a recent problem. Like somehow you've finally seen the light. The Cowboys have been blowing big games and playoff games because they simply aren't good enough to win them for just south of 30 years now.

So what if Dak isn't good enough? Neither was Romo. Garrett. Wade. And an entire legion of other past, present, and future.

What is the point of continuing to beat people up when we've articulated and described the core problem that we all know will never change endlessly?

I don't get it. Seems self-destructive for no good reason to me.

I believed in Dak, thought he had the it factor and I was just flat out wrong. I'm wrong about a lot of **** to be honest. But I'm sick of going down the wrong road just to say I was right. The fact is, Jerry is the core problem but he's off limits. So the issues that are touchable are the Coaches and players. And our coach is being outsmarted, our QB sucks, our receivers stink, our offensive coordinator stinks as well. We feasted against the trash of the league, most realists saw this but I was in denial. Never again.

They are willing to waste 1st round talent on WR and RB like nobody's business but never on a QB. In the last two decades the highest QB selection was Quincy Carter (2nd round) and after him was Chad Hutchinson (3rd send to the Texans). They have to look at QB this year at least on day 2.

Jerry's just so desperate to win another SB before he dies that he clings to every piece of fools gold that he sees as a way of getting him there. Dak is an avg QB and he fooled Jerry into thinking he was elite, or could be...eventually...some day

Been saying this for years... Teams want nothing more than to let Dak try to beat them. He does nothing to instill fear in a defense.

Why is it so hard for thr fanbase to see what everyone else already knows? Dak is NOT a a good QB, he's not a "Franchise QB", he's not a top-10 QB, and he'll never be any of those things... He is an average QB that is surrounded by a wealth of talent, that will NEVER get it done.

he’s bout to enter year 7 and still can’t throw open receivers and is constantly late on his passes.

if he ever gets the timing down he will be a good qb.
