what's the rule on a backward pass from Prescott in the field of play out of bounds?

would that kill the clock immediately without the ball having to be spotted?

We’ve been here too many times with this offense and they make too much money just to watch them stall out and stall out over and over and over.

If a backward pass goes out of bounds between the goal lines, the ball is dead (7-6-2-a), and it is next put in play at the inbounds spot.

A ball carrier may hand or pass the ball backward at any time, except to throw the ball intentionally out of bounds to conserve time.

I'm not sure what you are asking. Are you saying after the QB draw they got set and he threw it out of bounds before the refs spotted the ball? Then no.

it wasn't that gaffe....everyone is acting as if he had 2 second and would make a throw it would result in a TD...it would be a chance. and niners who effectively had shut us down, would have dropped or 9 into coverage....

that game was over way before that gaffe
