I am apologizing to Pappy, Willie, Rison, Catch, Atlanta, Mountaineer, Khalidi, and the rest of the Dak haters. Dak had the ball at midfield at the two minute warning 1st down, three timeouts. A top 12 quarterback wins that game. San Francisco was also down 3 of their top defensive players. Shoot, Kirk Cousins wins that game.

That is a damning recap of the opportunity Dak and the offense had.

I'm not much for the oversimplified blame game of assigning a loss to one person, but a top tier QB gets it done or at least puts the team in a much better position to win.

If you look at Dak's season on a stat sheet, he had a great year. Yet, far too often this offense looked stale and inept when it mattered most. The peaks and valleys with Dak are pretty extreme. The interception he threw yesterday was straight amateur hour. Then another attempt at hero ball throwing it deep into double coverage, smh.

I also think there's a lot of blame to lay at Kellen Moore's feet. The running game, or lack thereof, was alarming. Our run scheme seems to be figured out. Too many times our RBs are being met in the backfield by defenders. We also don't know how to utilize our personnel; Zeke should never ever be used on a sweep (pre- or post-injury); Pollard was severely underutilized.

Blaming everyone but the QB. Typical

Oh he stunk too he gets a lot of the blame. But the reality is just about everyone has been shutting our run game down given our OL issues, the fact Elliott is a slug at this point, our coaching staff bizarrely not using Pollard more, etc.

Most alarming to me, and you could tell Romo was biting his tongue as best he could, was Dak missing wide open guys. Its like he's become so adverse at times to making a mistake. There were plays to be made against the San Fran secondary and Dak just couldn't make them.

It's disturbing. Add in the fact we'll probably ride the McCarthy train for a few more years because Jerry can't admit a mistake, and I just don't have a lot of hope for the future other than maybe another NFCE win simply because the division still sucks. This team has no shot at any playoff success as presently constructed.

I agree with you 100% the Cowboys have bigger issues then their quarterback but the guy held the Cowboys hostage for two seasons because his agent said he was the best quarterback in the NFL. A game where the Cowboys were overmatched from start to finish, Dak had the perfect opportunity to steal the game. You could not ask for a better situation if you are a Dak homer like I am. He failed miserably.

Dak is not a 40 million dollar QB. He is probably a 20-25 million as you have to fill in all the holes around him. But if you are going to do that, why not sign Brady 2 years ago?

Brady was not coming here no matter what you offered him. Brady cares about winning Super Bowls.

The OC is handcuffed by his QB.

First it was Linehan. Now its Kellen Moore.

Dak Prescott. Offensive Coordinator Killer
Ok CeeDee Lamb Stan, is it Dak's fault that CeeDee had one catch and what, two targets yesterday?

Yeah, you have more faith in Moore than I do. There are things he does that have nothing to do with Dak.

How do you build a game plan against a strong 49ers front and not try to feature Pollard more? That's the kind of silly stuff we see from Moore over and over.

I think this team needs an offensive coaching staff purge. Dak is here because of that dog awful contract. Maybe we get lucky and find a good OL coach and OC that can make this more San Fran 49ers style where they protect Jimmy G.

Apology accepted, my friend.

It takes a real one to admit they were wrong. Respect to you.

Accepted. I don't hate Dak. I was rooting for him to change the narrative this post season. I'd trade being right for cowboy playoff success any day. I am a Cowboy fan first.

If you were to describe a generic NFL game plan, it would be to stop the run and force them to pass.
