It’s embarrassing when it’s your own stadium and you don’t know that these areas have problems at this time of day.

The Cowboys have a good-looking stadium.

No need to change anything.

Instead they should use the sun to their advantage. Practice there in the late afternoons and get used to it. Call plays such that you don’t have to fight it. This could be an advantage that other teams don’t have but of course they fail to capitalize on it, which is typical.

Yeah, the view of one of the worst parts of town is amazing.
Isn't that the ironic thing about it. He refuses to cover up the windows because he thinks its tacky, yet had no problem building his stadium next to a dump b/c they gave him the most money.

Which play is he talking about?

On 4th and 11 on that failed attempt it was roughly 8pm EST or 7pm Central.
The one before the half where Ced lost track of the ball may of not even gotten the first down

The one where Wilson turn for the ball and just stood there looking lost. At the least it wouldve been a big gain.

As someone commented yesterday, what idiot builds a statium oriented east west instead of north south.

Think how many cars drive by on I30 every day. Jerry wasn't going to build his palace north-south where all those people only saw the back of one end zone side. He had to have it shown in all its glory.

And they said years ago they didn't like the aesthetic of the curtains. As always, appearance is more important than football.

This teams soft. The stadium is built for image and soft fans. I tear it down and build an open air stadium with bench seating…the soft fans won’t be sitting…and with amazing sound retention…

Cowboys could just close the curtains every time they face the sun and open it every time their opponent faces it.

These are the little things Jimmy Johnson and Bill Belichick are masters of.

In the 92-93 NFC Championship Game, Jimmy scouted the field beforehand. He knew the field would be extra slippery because of the type of sod used at Candlestick Park.
So, he ordered (or informed) the team to wear longer spikes so players wouldn't be slipping all over the field.

He also watched local news sportscasts for information about the opponent, particularly the Super Bowl opponent, the Bills. He notices that the Bills are practicing a play that he hasn't seen before. He asks his offensive coaches to search film on the Bills to see if they've ever used this play before. They discover it's a new play put in just for the Super Bowl, so the Cowboys are able to recognize it and counter it. I believe the Bills ran the play and the Cowboys caused a fumble.

Those are the little things that win football games. The great coaches pay attention to particular details. The average coaches blow them off.

lol. These problems have re-surfaced time-and-again since the stadium opened. Narcissists do not usually change a problem they create. Typically, they double down and say the problem isn't really a problem.

What he should have done is gone with an infinitely better stadium design.
As an architect, the stadium makes me sick to my stomach. How you get a contract that size but aren't smart enough to consider the orientation of the building is beyond me. But hey "Let's give em a giant screen"...and hang it too low...I just can't
